The Dogmother
You're so right Roxanne - I've always gone out quite soon after and got a replacement (or two ) and it works for me too. I've cried buckets over every pet we've ever lost, except for the fish - they go down the toilet.
Ain't Nobody Here
except for the fish - they go down the toilet. You'd better watch out - there'll be a photofit of you on the inside of the fishtanks down the petshop. "Beware of this woman - she's a flusher" . sparkleeeeee
i have two new norfolk greys AND a welsummer they are in the nesting box of the cube. i poped them in after the girls went to bed. they look a bit scared but i am sure they will be fine. the breeder confirmed that the ones i took back were both cockerels, they said its funny but they usually have lighter feathers on their back earlier on. so they were sure they were hens. i just hope they got it right this time. they are lovely and have a great smallholding with lamas, pig and cows and they have puppies and piglets as well at the moment. OH would have gone mad if i have come home with either but they were cute. i was sad to see iggle and piggle go but i tried not to think about it as he did say they would end up being roast dinner but unfortunately thats what happens to most cockerels. Sad, but much better than just being put to sleep and incinerated or put in the landfill. At least they'll have a good time for a bit longer while they fatten up.
