Guest
Well I'm glad I did take my eyes off the nesting box as this morning when I went to let the girls out there on the roosting bars was a small yet perfectly formed egg (54g). I'm such a proud chicken Mummy!!!!

Guest
I have just gone outside to find out where Ginger was as Myrtle was roaming around by herself. And I heard alot of noise coming from the eglu. Well you have proably guessed by now but I thought that she was behind the eglu not in it and just being her loud normal self. Anyway she ran outside and and was covered in paper shreddings from the nesting box, i looked inside and there was a little egg. I didn't think she was going to start laying yet as her comb and wattle are not fully grown. Two eggs in one day after over a month with nothing. Can't be bad hey! ktdot
Brill! It's great isn't it? One of mine was already laying when we got her but it's taken 11 long weeks of waiting for my first 3 egg day! Now they are starting to pile up!
