Jules.
I kept getting asked all the time by nurses at the hospital if I had any shoulder pain when I had my ectopic. It's caused by internal bleeding irritating a nerve. I didn't get any pain thankfully.

chickencam
I get that kind of wind too and I have had a lot of pain between my shoulder blades recently along with a feeling of swallowing a lump in the same position in my chest. The doctor told me it can be caused by excess acid and is a type of heart burn without the burn He gave me a proton pump inhibitor which reduces stomach acid about 3 weeks ago and it does seem to have helped but I have also got an apointment with the ENT clinic in January i come from a family with stomach and oesophagus problems. DS has a streaming cold this morning he finished school yesterday, so I am sure that he will share lets all go and scrub an eglu loads of fresh winter air that'll sort us out, best wishes to all who are suffering and good luck to all who are not
The Dogmother
I hope that you all feel better soon, and are fine for Christmas. Poet - I had that pain in the shoulder (RHS) after a nasty bout of abdo surgery a few years back - it's not nice, is it? Peppermint cordial or mint tea work wonders. Guest
thank you all for your sympathy and suggestions, it's gone (fingers x'd!) this morning. I went to bed early with a hottie (bottle that is). going to get some of snowy's exploding magnesium and something pepperminty later so i have it on hand next time. Egluntine, I believe Andrews liver salts are bicarb based and I had 2 doses last night but unfortunately didn't shift it. Sarah, hope you're feeling a bit better today, having a cold is rotten and often underestimated. I swear by plenty of FRESH orange juice or failing that, take high strength vit C tablets.
