what do you do for a living?

Recommended Posts

Apologies if I've already posted this this evening, but it doesn't appear to be up in the forum (probably forgot to press something!)

I've been wondering what people do for a living, I know a lot of people work in education (see other post running at the moment started by someone else) What does everyone else do (educators, please feel free to post here as well! )

I'm a retired teacher (aged 33) and now work with my OH in our business, organising him, answering the phone, sorting out cvs, updating computer records etc etc. What do you do to earn a crust?

:oops: Hi, only me!

I'm just editing the topic due to the following;

Advertising/selling on the forum - all members please note

Out of necessity, the Omlet forum has a policy that members may not sell or advertise a service or product for monetary gain on the forum. This includes members who have created their own forums and who are trying to recruit new members. This is intended to protect the privacy of all forum members and so that they feel comfortable in using this unique facility, knowing that they will not be targeted for a sales pitch. The intention is to maintain the goodwill and wonderful camaraderie, which prevails on the site.

This policy includes posting to advertise your product/s and/or service and extends to Private Messages(PMs) sent to forum members. Please note that any such advertising will be moderated. Any member who continues to do this after being asked not to will be removed from the memberlist.

Members are permitted to include a discreet link to their website in their signature, where those sites might promote or display their products/service.

We would like all our members to enjoy the forum secure in the knowledge that it is not being used as a selling platform by individuals.

This applies to all posts whether the advertising is deliberate or an innocent remark, hope you all understand. If I don't edit, it's not fair on the many members who abide by these rules, which are there for good reason!

As well as individuals not advertising, we need everyone not to ask such leading questions, thanks! :D

:) Just meant, I removed the topic at the time when F & C. had been asked several direct questions about her business.

Not blaming anyone who was just interested, or indeed just answering! But when it came to specific question about how it would be sold, I removed it for editing, just to take out that last part.

Nothing sinister, nothing mean to F & C, or anyone else. I was only taking out a tiny bit & put the rules up so you'd all have an idea why, I wasn't having a go at anyone. :)
