The Dogmother
Rosie never slept as a baby - hard luck when you have to be up at 6am to go to work for 8 hours
Snowy
I love my sleep- I used to have a nap for 3 hours at the age of 3 ( according to my mother )Also she said I only had one toddler tantrum.... not too sure how accurate mum is on that one You sound like my oldest Jules He had a very half hearted tantrum at two, decided it was too much like hard work and never did it again! Both him and the youngest are so laid back though. Matthew's contribution to the terrible twos is an occasional whinge. Whereas Daniel What a drama queen! As long as he has an audience he'll perform - I swear that child is a budding actor Never ceases to amaze me just how different they all are! Popcorn
Does that mean I'm in for a rough ride with my next baby Snowy?! This is the (unwelcome) advice I keep getting! Most people keep saying that if they'd had their second child first, then they'd never have had a second. Stefan loves his sleep. Goes 12 hours a night and has between 2 and 4 hours during the day. We've been very lucky. Hopefully more of the same to come.......
Egluntyne
Stefan loves his sleep. Goes 12 hours a night and has between 2 and 4 hours during the day. Wow! How marvellous. What a pity we can't store sleep! You could save enough for the new baby's first year with 12 hours at night and the opportunity to kip during the day too! If my second hadnt 'happend' then I think my first was enough to put me off. I think my way was better though I did dread number2 as people said the same to me and I did wonder how it could get worse.
The Dogmother
Stefan loves his sleep. Goes 12 hours a night and has between 2 and 4 hours during the day. Wow! How marvellous. What a pity we can't store sleep! You could save enough for the new baby's first year with 12 hours at night and the opportunity to kip during the day too! I think I'm still on sleep defecit from when Rosie was a baby Make the most of it Gina. A small consolation I know, to those parents of restless babies, but apparently they grow up to be brighter... Rosie never slept as a baby, and is now a year above her peers at school, so perhaps he's right. Some small consolation for all the tiredness though:lol: Luckily she sleeps well these days Edited January 20, 2008 by Guest

The Dogmother
She's doing SATS prep with the year 6 pupils as she's in their class, but won't be sitting them until her peers do. In September, she will start on 'accelerated' year 6 work.. let's hope that they can keep her entertained!
Snowy
Don't worry Gina - it doesn't follow, they are just all different! And if the second one does sleep less you cope with it better anyway because you know more about what you are doing. My friend's first child was a poor sleeper and a screamer. She had a second because she thought it couldn't get any worse - but it did. Same with the third. She's admitted defeat now
