A Missing Poster Returns

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody

Just to let you all know that I am still alive (and have just turned 41 :( ). Sorry that I haven't been posting for a while - my life overtook me rather and I am only just starting to get my head back above water.

The girls are all fine - Onion has been laying almost every day for over a year now, and Berry and Sage have just restarted after the moult. I find it hard to remember what life was like before chooks now.

As I said on the Special Day Thread we were planning to get another Eglu and 4 more girls this year, but have decided to postpone this for a while, mostly due to bird flu.

Anyway, it's lovely to be back.

:D Hi Jangle, We welcome you back with open arms, and a cup of tea! Plus a big hug if life has been difficult. Really good to hear from you, a few of us who chatted last year wondered where you'd gone, & missed you.

Belated birthday wishes, and very glad to hear the chooks are doing well, and of your future chook plans.

The forum is expanded, with lots of lovely new regular posters, as you'll see from the above! 8):D

Look forward to hearing more, Janet, do keep in touch.

Thank you all very much for your good wishes - they mean a lot. It is so nice to be back and posting again - I did miss all of you.

Life was a bit difficult for a while, but things are back on an even keel again now. The OH and I have even booked our much postponed (by 2 years) honeymoon. One month and 4 days to go! I can't wait.

We are going to Lily Island in the Maldives - 11 days on an island 500m x 100m.

I'm not allowed to dive (I'm asthmatic) but there is snorkelling, kayaks, a spa, trips to other islands and of course just lying in the sun reading. 8)

Roll on March 26th.

Thanks everyone. I have had loads of fun buying sarongs from ebay, but finding a sun hat in February proved rather more difficult as I have a lerge head ( ) and wanted to try before I bought.

The OH doesn't normally do sun (or hot weather, or holidays longer than a week, or cuisine involving fish or coconut) and I had to drag him into London to buy his first pair of sandals for 38 years the other week. He'll enjoy it when he gets there though.
