My goodness Emma that all does sound like a feast!!!!

 

I also doubled on the amount I usually do, don't want to run out before everyone has had their fill...

 

We have varied toppings here...

Younger daughters like plain sugar...

Oldest daughter likes lemon and sugar or syrup...

I like belgian cassonade (powdery brown sugar), or black cherry jam (unfortunately I don't have any, as daugthers only informed me about pancake day being today... today...)

OH loves his with grated cheese and a fried egg, and some jalapeno chillies and sundried tomatoes....

oh I forgot...

 

wonderful way to end... some white sugar, a generous shot of grand marnier, put a match to it... swirl it around... fold up when the flames have gone down...

 

Absolutely delicious... though I haven't got grand marnier either...

 

Ummmm... how can I get OH to dash to off license??

Has to be lemon and sugar! Although I do love american pancakes with bacon and maple syrup as a breakfast/brunch.

A pancake party sounds a fab idea - it could be san Eglutine birthday party too! We could make her a pancake stack with candles on!

I think I made about 40 pancakes yesterday very hot work but everyone had their fill

Same here, about 6 or 7 each for the grown ups... bit less for the kids... as main meal and pudding (tried some with grated cheese and pickled whole chillis, was yummy)...
