Yorkshire Pudding
The instructions on our bands said below the thunb and in a little bit, about three fingers width down from the crease in your wrist. They worked very well for a car-sick five-year-old, and can't do any harm. Worth a try, but keep the Ginger Nuts handy!
Clur
I really found eating extra strong mints helped. I kept a pack by the bed for first thing, a pack in the car, a pack in my bag and packs at work. Not sure they did my teeth much good but at least I wasn't sick! lozkate
I used to avoid morning sickness by getting up before she did and not coming home until late afternoon. Worked a treat. Also, I think Paola has a good prevention on another thread - eating crackers in bed. I don't think Kate would have got morning sickness at all if she ate crackers in bed!!!!! Yorkshire Pudding
I could've gone for that with Louis! The dripping from the roast chicken...eaten with a spoon....mmmm With Stan it was Mini Milks and custard (together or separately - anything vanilla flavoured). My friend ate chalk with her second. She didn't have heartburn, though!
BeckyBoo
Fish and chips with number 1 ice with number 2 (drove OH mad crunching away morning noon and night) and cold sprouts with mayonnaise with number 3 - yes really! plus fruit with all three and I don't normally eat fruit, I'm a veg girl. And they've all left me with a sweet tooth which I NEVER had before and my feet grew half a size! Yet more things they don't tell you in ante natal classes Mrs Bertie
Guest
The dripping from the roast chicken...eaten with a spoon....mmmm Funnily enough, I did a roast chicken the other day, and ate the skin, something I don't normally eat, being a serial dieter (not that you could tell from my figure ), then sat and ate some roast potatoes dipped in the dripping. A pleasure that I've not experienced for a long time. Still, I've managed to keep my wieght gain to a minimum this time, so I figured I deserved a treat! Snowy
I craved tomatoes and jelly with no 1 Rare steak (and I mean rare!) with no 2 (then discovered I was anaemic ) Nothing with no 3 - I'd obviously ironed out all my vitamin and mineral deficiencies by then I had a difficult labour with the first, then discovered raspberry leaf tea. It does taste disgusting, so I used to mix it with another herbal or fruit tea that I did like in a pot and drink it throughout the day. Next two labours were very short and easy. No pain relief required at all!
Yorkshire Pudding
Raspberry leaf tea didn't help me at all, I have very slow labours. However both my babies have been huge so perhaps that has something to do with it. Both sets of cravings were for high calorie stuff - obviously the babies were hungry! I didn't gain any weight in either pregnancy, once they were born I was lighter than when I started both times - have since put it back though.
