Laura & CTB
Well done Pam You'll be writing your own software before you know it I always let CTB set up the computers in our house (we have four), that way if they go wrong it's his problem not mine

hillfamily
Well done from me too. I am also a hopeless technonumpty As a Mac user did you connect using Airport? Just interested because I have so fartried and failed to do this with my Mac Tessa Yes I used Airport I clicked on my airport icon, it listed all the available networks, I clicked on my broadband box, entered the passcode (in my case the code on the broadband box) and then pressed the 'pairing button' on my broadband box and after a few mins I was connected I've turned my comp on and off a few times to make sure it wasn't a fluke I can't offer much more advice than that because I'm still amazed it worked Fred has got a Mac and of course being a teenager he knows everything, maybe worth PMing him if your stuck

chickenlass
Gosh!! You have done well. I have lost the wireless connection to the desktop upstairs and can only get on the Internet with the laptop from the same wireless connection. Haven't got a clue what has happened and a friends son is supposed to be coming to look at what has gone wrong but I know he is really busy at work and its been like that since December. Wouldn't have a clue how to find out what is wrong or why it suddenly went off.
