Tessa the Duchess

The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency

Recommended Posts

I loved the show.I thought Jill Scott was great casting - what a gorgeous looking lady of traditional size

I agree with you there Cinnamon, she was fantastic. Thought she would have been older though?

Where did that hairdresser come from - I can't remember him in the books, but he was a nice addition to the cast.

I thought I had missed that from the books too. He did tie in nicely though. Brought everything together well.

Can't wait for the series. Beautiful landscape and thoroughly enjoyable. :D

OH and I watched this yesterday afternoon and thought it was brilliant!! Will have to go and get the books now.

OH used to work in South Africa late 80-90's and can remember clubs just like the 'Go go handsome mans bar' :? Especially one called the 'Why not?'

Can't wait for the series and hope they keep the format.

i can't find out who played the baddie (the one sticking his finger in the cake) can anyone help? he was gorgeous

I think his name is Idris Elba ? Try googling and see if you recognose him?

Colin Salmon, who played Note (her firt Hubby, who played the trumpet) is gorgeous too.

He has been in a couple of Bond movies & is truly droolworthy

Oh you know me, always lunching with the stars  . (The restaurant I was in is right opposite that Starbucks).

J K Rowling was at the table next to me in Starbucks last Friday (she's often in there but always alone - my friend and I often think we should ask her to join us, she looks like a right Billy-nae-mates  ).

Ian Rankin's often in there too and I have seen Mr McColl Smith in there once too  .

They do all live very close by so it's not that surprising, I suppose  .
