muzzie
Henrietta who to me seems the most mature largest comb and wattles red too was crouching late yesterday afternoon for me and let me stroke her back. Hoping for an egg from her soon. Funny how the first to lay was Eggwina she looks to be the least mature of the girls, very small comb and wattles not red but more pink. I collected some sand/gravel from the road yesterday we still have tons from the winter snow and ice storms. The girls went crazy gobbling up the grit must be the right size. It is raining today they also predict snow and sleet for later so tomorrow I will go out to gather some more. I hate to get wet
meezers
I love reading posts from 'across the pond' , a bit of a novelty reading about American chook keeping ( oh, and you can keep your snow as well - we've got more than enough of it in rain form at the moment ! )
