Chicken Licken
As it is British Summer Time and the sun was shining I decided to give the eglu and run a proper spring clean and then move them from my little backgarden onto the allotment behind. As my neigbours have an overexcited bull terrier type dog visiting the gate was firmly shut behind me on each part of the move! The house door was open so that rosie dog could come and go. Anyway before putting together the eglu on the allotment I decided to shut the house door to make sure the chookies couldn't get in. To cut a long story short after putting up the eglu, omlet netting etc I got back tot he garden and couldn't find the girls hiding under their usual bushes and there was no sound of them. I opened the door and found them pootling around in the living room (on the carpet). They were burbling quietly and had taken domestic living in their stride. Thankfully only one small offering on the kitchen floor and they have now taken up residence happily in their summer quarters. Bless em. Can you imagine shutting the door to think you had shut them out, and actually shutting them in instead for a good 15 - 20 mins!!
Egluntyne
Oh how funny. At least they haven't managed to ruin your soft furnishings.

Keanie Bean
You definately got away lightly with just the one offering, mine are in the house like a shot and there are normally several within minuites, there are only two of the blighters aswell. I'm glad I have solid flooring Sarah.x
