TheCoop
We just bought a batch of this worming treatment and wondered if anyone else here had used it and whether or not it was any good?? Thanks.
superjules
From what I have heard it is a preventative herbal remedy, so not something to be used if you suspect you already have a wormy chook. There is a sticky, here: http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4619
TheCoop
OK - thanks. I don't think our 3 have any problems (their poo looks normal - 1 or 2 runny ones occasionally), but read that preventative measures were a good thing.
cluckbok
Hi ya, We just trialing it out. We mixed it in with their pellet food but wonder whether it would be better mixing it in with porridge cause they gobble all of that up, so we gonna try that tonight. At least that way we know they definately will have eaten it. The Verm-X does look like mini layers pellets.
ajm200
I give it to ours in their treat bowl and that way I know that they've eaten it
cluckbok
Hi ya, Just to let you know we tried the Verm-X in the porridge tonight and they gobbled the lot! So that's a lot easier way of getting that in them. Not a mark left in the bowl!! That was easy!!
TheCoop
Sounds like it's a goer then!! From my 'poo' descriptions above, does all sound normal in the stool dept?? If someone can confirm that, then I'll feel happier about giving it to them.
cluckbok
We've had the odd runny poo, but they seem ok. Apparently they meant to do a dodgy poo normally 1 every 10, although I don't keep a count lol . They sometimes do those yellowy ones too, it's all normal apparently. Have seen some posts on here before a while ago about it. As long as they not constantly runny poos, it should be ok. There a section on this Omlet site, with nice poo pictures of the different types yuk!!
