SarahJo
You fussy old bird Lesley And the title is in CAPITALS - a pet hate of mine. Yes, I am the phantom 'topic heading changer!' Capiitals are the forum equivalent of SHOUTING! (so says P.P rules) so I change them ... We aren't p.p we are "OMLET" , thought someone had altered them I posted in capitals to draw attention .. in a non-shouting kind of way . Lesley
It's untidy and doesn't match the rest of the headings - I can't help it - sorry Can you imagine what it is like to live with me? nothing moves even a quarter of an inch without me noticing and putting it right! (and moaning about it )Towels, cushions, ornaments, curtains, chairs........ I'm really, really sorry but I have to do it
Sheilaz
Well, at least you 2 were brave enough to have a go. Lesley, when I typed that, I was talking to" you 2" because no one else was on line at the time. Admittedly I do sometimes talk to people who aren't there, but this wasn't one of those occasions. I had noticed the other votes but also knew, when I drew attention to the competition by posting a new topic, that last night quite a few people were coming on line but not guessing. I thought it might have been because there was so much to read & they missed it. Just trying to help
Lesley
That's the problem with the 5 minute thingy. I'm quite often talking to people I think are still here and really they've nipped over to RC (Kate!) I think I'd already left - sorry Just ignore me - I will go away! Kizzamozza
13 year olds are such pains. Well, now that IS nice. Considering the fact that I am 13.
Mrs Frugal
I don't think Nicola means all 13 year olds !! My son is 14 now and was lovely at 13 - still is!

Jangle
Hi Kim - I have a 13 year old daughter (and another who's and my 13 year old is lovely 95% of the time. Like all of us (regardless of our age - I'm 40) she does have the occasional off day.
Nicola H
My 13 year old is the pain, not all 13 year olds Kim.........sorry about the generalization I shall have to be more careful..... Trouble is that he thinks he is 18 and can do anything he likes............
Sheilaz
Hello Kizzamozza .....was just about to reply and Nicola got there before me. Just to say, I know lots of really terrific teenagers, and I'm sure you're one! (Well, most of the time?!) Yes, it was a generalization but I think we all do that when someone IS being a pain ...and we do have to let off steam about them or risk explosion and lots of people are pains sometimes, whatever their age....sometimes inceasingly with age I think I might have to change my signature back to "would you like a cup of tea?" for anyone out there who lives with or works with "a pain"
Kizzamozza
Nah, I didnt really care ya know! Anyone can be such a pain, or whatever it was you said about 13 year olds.

red
I've just done James's Age Survey - I was in somewhat of a quandry as to whether I should be ticking the 20 - 30 age bracket or the 30 - 40. I am 30. I plumped for 20 - 30. Is this morally wrong I know as a 30 year old I am entitled to tick the 20 - 30 box but the OH is well into his thirties so I am having feelings of guilt that my answer doesn't reflect the true position and that - as a result - I have ruined James's statistically scientific survey
Mrs Frugal
I would have done exactly the same thing! Go for the younger option anytime !
Sheilaz
Oh Red, I'm relieved you did that because it lowers the average age. It wouldn't bother me except for falling into the mid-life crisis category. Statistics can say what you want them to really but one of my pet dislikes is being labelled as middle aged, middle class etc (& I have an Aga...but I'm ME!) Hope survey doen't show that Eglu owning is age related at all...it seems to me that a lot of us on the forum do have a lot in common, none of which is age related.......absolutely barmy, maybe! And as I've reached Grumpy Old Woman stage I could have just said, "Oh, NO Red, you've ruined it!) oops..bit of a long answer, but def. don't feel guilty! Lesley
Don't forget Sheila that on Practical Poultry we're all middle class, well-off ******** playing with our chickens! More money than sense I think was the general verdict! I refuse to tick anything which has a 10 year age span!!!
SarahJo
we're all middle class, well-off ******** playing with our chickens!
