Lesley
Actually I can't think of anything worse! Unless you're fit and healthy with loads of money there is not much point
Mrs Frugal
We'd better call the vet in now then Lesley because that rules us two out, doesn't it !
Lesley
The one with the gun? Ask Sammi!
Trish
I've decided I'm not going. There's far too many things I want to do and I intend to get them done. First thing to tackle is waking up one day and realising there is no housework to be done That's never going to happen so therefore I'm not going

Nicola H
Karen For yesterday you should have mentioned it earlier a virtual party could have been arranged............. I hope you had a good day and got lots of nice pressies..............
Karen1
Thanks Nicola I was trying to forget I was 42 yesterday, but I'm ok now I didn't tell anyone at work that it was my birthday, but someone found out and I got lots of nice presents from my workmates - lots of useful little things for the garden. Nicola H
Karen glad you got some nice pressies, I will be 42 in June but I don't suppose it will feel any different to being 41 really.............. I hope not anyway............
Karen1
No, Nicola, it doesn't really feel any different. The big 4-0 did though! Remember how it felt not being in your thirties anymore?
Nicola H
Yes I do it was a big shock and I didn't tell any body that my 40th birthday was looming and I am dreading the big 50............
Karen1
Don't worry Nicola. We both have a long way to go before that one!
Mrs Frugal
The big 4-0 did though! Remember how it felt not being in your thirties anymore? Don't say that !! I've got "that" birthday in June and I'm dreading it. I have accepted that it's inevitable and that it's just a number but that doesn't really help me accept that I won't be thirtysomething for much longer . Guest
Don't worry Kate, it's fine being in your 40s. I was a bit concerned at first, but now I've got used to it. As long as you think like a 30 year old and act like a 20 year old, you stay feeling young
Karen1
Ooooops! I did the posting above, and forgot that I'd logged out
Mrs Frugal
Thanks for the reassurance, Karen. I think I'm still 18 in my head ! Probably always will be .
Lesley
Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha! Oops sorry - Happy Birthday Karen! The only Birthday I really hated was my 21st - I thought it was the end of the World and bawled my eyes out for days!
Emma
I turned 41 last month. Life begins at 40 so they say and mine certainly did. Iwent on a plane for the first time last year and loved it after years of fearing it. I got married to my partner of 16 years with our fab son as best man(in Sri Lanka- just showing off now) and now I have my beloved chickens. Andy is nearly 44 and Tom is 15. Mrs Frugal
That's a nice story Emma. Maybe turning 40 isn't going to be so bad after all. I don't think I'll have a change of heart over aeroplanes though! I've been on 3 flights and the fear got worse with each one!! It's not nice being the only one wide awake (apart from the Captain hopefully!!), gripping the seat arms for dear life on a 10 hour flight! Lesley
But you have to hold on Kate - everyone knows that! I don't sleep either or else you can't concentrate and keep the plane up I actually quite like flying - just airports I hate
