geb0205
Yesterday, I aquired 2 new girlies to add to my exsisting 2..!! So Copper and Bronze have arrived. They are, apparently Rhode Island Red Bantams. Bronze is darker than copper, and copper is significantly younger, around the 14 week age I would think. Bronze is just beginning to get red round her comb, so although not much older, is definatly bigger and older than copper! My 2 exsisting girlies, Puzz and Fuzz, well, I let them out of the run yesterday afternoon, and put Copper and Bronze in it. There were lots of squarking, and hackles raised, and bowing, but then they just gave up and went free ranging. It did take a while to get them all to bed last night, I put the 2 exsisting girlies in the run when they were all ready for bed, and a few squabbles and pecking happened, but not alot. They did, however, not let the newbies in the eglu, so that had to be sorted out! Today, they are in 2 groups, at opposite ends of the eglu run, with squabbles going on every time one moves towards the others. Oh introducing chooks is hard - tell me it gets easier!! Here they are -Copper is the smaller one on the left, and Bronze is the one on the right...

MedusA
It does get easier - but it does take a 2-3 weeks to fully integrate new girls. Can you separate them at all, just to begin with? They do look lovely though.
