Help needed!!!

My daughter aged 14yrs has 4 warts on one hand and 1 on the other. She has had them for nearly 3 years, I feel we have tried everything and got nowhere. She is getting quite distressed at how her hands look. The PCT dont pay for cryotherapy anymore.

Suggestions please

Try the homeopathic remedy Thuja 6c. You can buy it from Boots. It may not work quickly but it's a darn sight cheaper than other remedies and it works Also works on verrucas. It should be taken twice a day for 3 weeks, making sure you don't touch the tablets- just let them dissolve under the tounge and also make sure you take them in a clean mouth- ie not after brushing teeth or tea, coffee etc. HTH

The Duct tape method works very well!

Duct tape treatment-- Covering a wart with duct tape may also help because it irritates the wart and the skin around it, causing the body to attack it. Cover the wart with duct tape for up to a week. Then remove the tape, soak the wart in water and rub it gently with an emery board or a pumice stone. Leave the tape off overnight, then repeat treatment until the wart goes away. If this is not successful after 2 months, see your doctor to try another approach

I used some insulating tape on a nasty wart my son had at the base of his thumb nail. Took a couple of weeks, but the wart disappeared completely.I think it's more to do with excludng air from the wart that makes the treatment so effective.

ok, here's a funny one for you. Buy a bit of best steak. Rub onto the warts , then go and bury the piece of steak in the garden & forget about it..the warts should go! Worked for my dad when he were a lad! GOd you must all think I'm a nutty white witch!!!:lol:

That worked for me when I was little too, I had a big verruca under my big toe and mum did just that, the verruca went black and fell off

I am watching this with interest as I have a ruddy wart on my wrist which I have been treating forever

I have tried bazzuka extra strength which just burned the surrounding skin and I have tried three times now with one of the freezing things and it has made no difference at all :evil::evil:

You are only supposed to use it four times and I was wondering what next :?

I think I will try the homeopathic one next as I would be unable to keep duct tape on it for any length of time through showering at work although we have just had an air shower fitted

If I get any good results I will report back 8)

Well it will definitely exclude air, which is what needs to happen to kill the wart! You'll probably have to wait until the tape drops off rather than try pulling it off, at least you won't be tempted to remove it too soon to peek.

i think superglue is only a problem when it joins the wrong things together :D

We are now 4 days into experiment. We do have to keep re-applying on certain warts and also use a plaster but looking good :D . Although I think the teachers at school think I'm barking!
