moochoo
Have you tried Wartner that you can buy at Boots? It's a liquid nitrogen pump that you can use at home. I had a stubborn wart on my hand and it shifted it a treat. i think it's mainly sold for varuccas but is good on any type of wart.
abwsco
Try the homeopathic remedy Thuja 6c. You can buy it from Boots. It may not work quickly but it's a darn sight cheaper than other remedies and it works Also works on verrucas. It should be taken twice a day for 3 weeks, making sure you don't touch the tablets- just let them dissolve under the tounge and also make sure you take them in a clean mouth- ie not after brushing teeth or tea, coffee etc. HTH
Snowy
The Duct tape method works very well! Duct tape treatment-- Covering a wart with duct tape may also help because it irritates the wart and the skin around it, causing the body to attack it. Cover the wart with duct tape for up to a week. Then remove the tape, soak the wart in water and rub it gently with an emery board or a pumice stone. Leave the tape off overnight, then repeat treatment until the wart goes away. If this is not successful after 2 months, see your doctor to try another approach I used some insulating tape on a nasty wart my son had at the base of his thumb nail. Took a couple of weeks, but the wart disappeared completely.I think it's more to do with excludng air from the wart that makes the treatment so effective. lizinsa
The Duct tape method works very well! Seconded! Having tried all sorts of treatments, this was by far the easiest and cheapest, and it actually worked! Most people think you're mad when you suggest it though

Louise
I am watching this with interest as I have a ruddy wart on my wrist which I have been treating forever I have tried bazzuka extra strength which just burned the surrounding skin and I have tried three times now with one of the freezing things and it has made no difference at all You are only supposed to use it four times and I was wondering what next I think I will try the homeopathic one next as I would be unable to keep duct tape on it for any length of time through showering at work although we have just had an air shower fitted If I get any good results I will report back

Fleur
i was always told that you should either - wee on the wart, or spit on it and then rub it with a gold ring....

Nicola H
I know that duct tape works but I wouldn't advise that you use super glue on your skin...........

Aunty e
Superglue isn't so bad, I've used it to glue cuts together before now, and our vet told us to superglue one of our cats together when she pulled her stitches out after being speyed. Couperwife
isnt that what superglue was originally designed for? I'm sure it was for medical reasons and joining cuts and things with minimal scaring. also good for "nasty" cuts that you cannot easily sew together. I shall hunt this down and find out cathy x
Couperwife
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/197463.stm Superglue in Surgery Superglue has also proved to be a life-saver. During the Vietnam War soldiers were issued with tubes to seal stomach wounds in the battlefield. not actually created for war, but cathy x
Snowy
Well it will definitely exclude air, which is what needs to happen to kill the wart! You'll probably have to wait until the tape drops off rather than try pulling it off, at least you won't be tempted to remove it too soon to peek. i think superglue is only a problem when it joins the wrong things together
Lesley
I'm happy to stand corrected I don't think I'll try it any time - I'm sure to manage to glue my finger to my eyelid
