blueandwhite
My bluebelle is pretty big with her feathers and looked rather like a dodo when she moulted! Big thick legs as well. She lays beige eggs and is quite a good layer. Started laying again in Xmas hols after moulting around November. She is a lovely bird, very calm compared to my Leghorn. Pictures of Phoebe at her 'worst' and 'best'!
lindafw
have..after research..finally realised that the Bluebell and my blue ranger are one and the same breed...so now I know who lays the nice brown egg! Now to work out who lays the giant pale peachy brown one and who lays the normal size one...amber star or light sussex ranger. My hybrids are fairly new (october purchase at pol) and the Blue certainly moved into top hen spot very quickly...don't know if she will stay there one my buff sussex comes into lay..she was top hen before she took a winter break
redcharlie43
I got a light sussex and Bluebell at POL in Oct too. I think the brown/pinky ones with white spots sometimes are from the bluebell and the pale white/pink eggs are from the sussex. I could be wrong as I have never watched over them too closely but the light sussex was very flighty until the paler eggs appeared in the eglu and then she started crouching whenever I went near her so I presume they are her little gifts to me! I do have to say that the bluebell is a bit of a heffer compared to my others but still very lovely! and very placid
lindafw
My bluebell/blue ranger is overshadowed by my HUGE buff orpington girl and her cockerel partner

Wolfie
We've just today inherited a Bluebelle hen called "Bluebelle", what else? A lady advertised her on River Cottage Farmers Market (pics available there of her!). Our ex-bats and other rehomed chickens were not really interested in "Bluebelle" - just needed to check out her stash of grapes, lovely treats etc. she brought with her! She is certainly a beautiful girl.
