surferdog
.....Don't go in the run wearing flip flops especially if you have painted toe nails! Coco mistook one of my toes for a particularly interesting worm - ouch! Wouldn't mind but my crocs are bright red and they never peck those... Egluntyne
It is a mistake you only make the once. Speaking as one who learnt the hard way.

Cinnamon
Thats nothing (& I learnt that lesson the hard way a long time ago ) Try doing it wearing a sparkly toe ring too - it gives new meaning to keeping on your toes!
chickenanne
My OH burnt his hand quite badly on our woodburner, and the language he used when one of the chickadiddles pecking the scab off was quite interesting!
Hen Watch
Mine did that too for about the first month. Pecked everything in sight, toes, stitching on jeans, shoe laces etc. But after that they just stopped and only pecked at food. Very ocassionly Henrietta thinks she is a magpie and pecks my silver colour watch but the others don't.
Phonix
what a good excuse for me nont to wear flip-flops! Well it will be when i get the chooks lol I hate feet so any reason to keep the toes covered is a good one - although there aren't many in the summer! x
Keanie Bean
My chickens have got wise to the croc thing, now the little demons go for ankles. DH had a chunk taken out a while ago. Sarah.x
Christian
Thanks for the warning. I will remember to wear closed toe sandals when my toe nails are painted! Shirley took great exception to my Mum running out screaming when she pecked at her painted toe nails!
Purplemaniacs
I wish I had read this earlier I let them out into the garden this evening to play the grape game (we are worming them at the moment using the grape technique as recommended by forum members) and Ivory and Latte pecked my toes
Olly
Mine pecked my toenails through the holes in my Crocs!

SharonX
I had this done to me the other day, was wearing a dark maroon colour, think they thought it was a raisin! Then my sister had it done the same evening when she popped round, was a orangy colour, maybe they thought that was corn? By the way, what is the grape method used for worming? Going to do mine starting tomorrow so any helpful tips would be good
