Jules.
I'm pegging out washing, hubby is working until 2.30. Alexander is currently at football & Ethan is playing on the rug with his Doctor Who toys. The travelling fair is here, so my mum will take the boys there later ( I hate it, I love static theme parks but not travelling, noisy ones). Then we'll watch DW. Tomorrow we have church in the morning, & then in the afternoon it's the Sunday School anniversary at 2pm so we go & watch the children say poems & sing, then they all get a book as a prize & keepsake. We will have coffee & cake afterwards as well It's year 6 SATS next week, so early to bed for Alexander tomorrow.
Snowy
Phew - it's scorching! Done a lovely hen party in the sun, children are playing in the paddling pool that was new last year and never came out of it's wrapper And I'm sat in the garden with the laptop under the parasol. Debating sending OH to the shop for a bottle of white
redhotchick
And I'm sat in the garden with the laptop under the parasol. Debating sending OH to the shop for a bottle of white Probably the shortest debate ever! I just got in from a successful shopping trip and am also in the garden on my lap top. Just picked up some second hand garden furniture from my brother too, making full use of it this evening
Cinnamon
Well, its been a lovely day here too. Nice & chilled - a BBQ mid afternoon & I did make that Sangria My skin feels all lovely & tingly from the sun, & I have even managed to go a few shades darker than my usual pallid winter white I did slap on a bit of Dove Summer Glow earlier,so not to scare the chickens with my pale skin. Off to have a nice long bath now, with something summery & appropriate in it from Lush
MadMitch
Wow, it's certainly been a hot one. I'm struggling to keep my green house cool even though I have put shading on it (currently 34 degrees). Still all my seeds are popping up so it can't be too bad. Finished all my raised beds today, bit late I know. But most important, got everything ready for my 6 week old girls that I will be picking up tomorrow. Haven't put much in for them to play with yet as they are only babies but will add to it later on. When I suggested wine to OH he just smirked - bought a bottle yesterday, it was in the fridge, nicely chilled!!!! I hadn't noticed!!!! Now I've got that feeling, you know, just eaten (chicken salad followed by lemon roulade), several glasses of chardonnay, lots of sun, house and garden is a pig sty, children and friend have run amuk and I just can't be bothered .... in fact my eyes are closing as I type .... someone give me a prod in half an hour will you? Yesterday was a lovely one for us, OH & I went out for a drive in the morning, watched the qualifying for the F1 today and a friend & her OH popped round 'for half an hour' at 4pm, they left at 10 after a wonderful relaxing evening and a take away chinese It really took my mind off things
One Man Banned
Glad you had a good day yesterday Em. Anita threw an impromptu BBQ last night, just a few of us and it was lovely, left there at 1130 last night and slightly better for a tipple - can you get charged with drunk driving on a push bike? I was an ever so slightly sozzled cyclist last night Didn't sleep at all well tho, far too hot and the dawn chorus woke me at 5am, then the hens at 6 Never mind, it's a lovely day again today A xx
