Cinnamon
We are in for some gorgeous, hot & steamy weather over the weekend,& I for one am really looking forward to it. The house is clean (ish) & sort of tidy,so I can merrily put all thoughts of housework to the back of my mind. We are planning a BBQ tomorrow & I have bought corn on the cob to cook (the hens love the cobs afterwards), I am making Beefburgers & I also got a piece of garlic & herb chicken for me which is gently stinking out the fridge now (why do they never smell too garlicky until you get them home?) I also have all the bits I need to make some Sangria So apart from a bit of cooking & hanging out of washing, I have a weekend of relaxing in the sun to look forward to What is everyone else up to? Omletina Kyckling
I'm going to a VE Day celebration in Bulwick, a nearby village where there's a street party, music, food etc. tomorrow with my neighbour. On Sunday I'm hoping to go to the Land Rover show at the East of England showground near Peterborough and then I'm having a barbecue with the neighbours (at their house). I recently bought a cheapy ice cream maker from QVC and am in charge of desserts. So far I've made some vanilla ice cream, some coffee ice cream and some cherry and also raspberry frozen yoghurts. We may get a bit of rain on Sunday, but hopefully not too much to spoil the plans!!

gooner.girl
My weekend should have started but I am covering a year 6 IT lesson - normally i finish at 3ish on fridays They are being very good tho - animating pictures they have drawn on paint (mainly of wars ) to make a movie. Only 20 min to go anyway! Am planning a fairly relaxing weekend. Am competing in the Triple Jump at the Sussex Champs tomorrow, hoping to then see my sister and do a little shopping. Sunday is church - then lunch with DH's family and last footy match of premier league season... sniff!
chickenlass
I think the weather is due to be good for this area too over the weekend. Sunday I have an early start with my pony as she is going to the local show. Each day this week I have been trimming her hairy legs and Foo- fooing her, not to mention cleaning the trailer which was covered in bird poo off the pigeons [not the chickens lol] and cleaning tack. After my riding lesson tomorrow morning I will then bath her and plait her up and hope that she stays reasonably clean overnight [she is a grey] Once I get to the show I hope to just be able to enjoy myself and my picnic while a young girl from the stables enters her in 3 classes. It would be lovely to get a rosette but just being there with all those lovely horses is a great day out anytime.
crazygal
well, on Sunday we have the choice of the Arlesford Watercress Festival or the Hampshire Green Fair at the Sustainability Centre- hmm can't decide what we'll do yet....but the weather's going to be lovely here!! We had a homemade BBQ yesterday in a terracotta pot which worked really well but the chickens had to be confined to barracks though
Egluntyne
Just plan of veg out here. A glass or two of that sangria would go down well.
Yorkshire Pudding
We are hosting a sleepover for my son's 9th birthday - a barbecue followed by Dr Who (essential Saturday evening ritual) followed by noise, mayhem, midnight feasts, hopefully some sleep and then a pancake frenzy for breakfast. Eggs provided by Marj and Daph of course. Then they'll all go home. After that we'll probably need to collapse with a large G and T!

Sarah B
I can't wait for a good bit of sun at the weekend for a change! I've been working very hard this week. I'm doing the food shopping - some washing, some cooking and cleaning my chookies out!!! Apart from that we may have a BBQ and I'm sure I will be having some Pinot Grigio! Have a good weekend everyone
Ain't Nobody Here
I'm hoping to persuade the men of the family to spend an hour in the front garden with me, blitzing the weeds (wish me luck ). Then clear out the garage so ES can use the ergometer (rowing machine). He's in danger of turning into a puddle of apathy throughout his study leave unless we can get him moving . Weather was disappointing today - the haar didn't really lift all day .
Lesley
I'm going to continue weeding the poly/greenhouse - we have weeds in there taller than me I cut the top off a flowering oilseed rape plant that was nearly 6' tall Then I can get the rest of the plants in and sow some more bean seeds. Apart from all the usual stuff on the farm, we have a sort of free weekend
