Have a lovely weekend everyone......

Recommended Posts

Tomorrow DH, DD2 and DD3 are out all day so I just have DS at home. He goes to Stagecoach in the afternoon. I will probably be trying to reestablish some order in my house as it's been a busy week.

On Sunday I am at church ALL DAY (9:30am - 8pm)!! Service in the morning, rehearsal in the afternoon and performance of a children's musical called Hosanna! at 6pm. This will be followed by drinks and nibbles. :D It'll be fun though and very rewarding. :D

We're off to the "Forties" event at the Romney Hythe & Dymchurcgh Railway :D and to buy some plants at Stone Green Nursery :D:D - which is more than we did when we were on leave last week as the building work prevented us doing anything else :!::evil:

Unlike Cinnamon, Our house is still not clean from the dust....but at present....with a glass of wine to enjoy.... we are really past caring this weekend :twisted:8)

I have the Essex meet tomorrow and then a hen party on Sunday.

I'll also be packing in some gardening, a trawl of the charity shops, a bike ride and a trip to the boot sale (actually might do the last 2 together!)

I'm going into town with my mum first thing on Saturday. We both need to buy wedding outfits for my cousin's wedding in 2 weeks time. Hopefully we'll both get sorted and have time for a nice lunch.

The rest of the weekend will be the usual gardening, cleaning the house, laundry, cleaning out the chickens. I always make time for nice food, some wine and relaxing too.

I'm off to the Essex meet tomorrow too! I hope someone else is going, "Ooops, word censored!"ody else has posted recently - still Pengy will be there, and I'm looking forward to meeting James and the Anti-chicken!

On Sunday my choir is singing at the Epping Woodland Burial Park, it's a new 'green' burial park that's just opened. We'll be singing in a lovely seven-sided wooden building, but there's an open day with lots of things on, so I might get to meet some owls!

missed this yesterday, we have youngests footie match this morning and then I believe the weekend is free other than having a friend of oldests sleeping over to help his mum out, (otherswise son would not be having a sleepover with poorly thumb)

I love sitting (or laying) on my swinging chair watching the girls peck my garden away.. it's brilliant. :D so I want to be doing lots and lots of that if possible. :D (plus I think first egg is really close and I am not wanting to miss that for one second)

enjoy the sun everyone!

I've got a hen party at 10.30 and have woken up feeling as though have a hangover :? Unfortunately it was because I worked late last night and not because I overindulged  At lunchtime my boys have a friend coming for a sleepover, so that will keep them entertained for the rest of the weekend! 8)

We're off to London tomorrow as DD is dancing at the Royal Albert Hall. While she is there we are going to the Dr Who exhibition and then the Natural History Museum before taking in the show. (Hoping to slip into Harrods at some point too).

I'm dead excited and can't wait to go :D:D

Enjoy the sun everyone!!

Sounds great (apart from the garlic chicken - I'm veggie with a food intolerance of garlic = nightmare!)

We're having a lazy day today - bit of shopping possibly but then nowt much. :)

Tomorrow we're off to an open day for a local mill then picking up our friends' chinchilla who is coming to visit for a few days whilst they are away.

We live such excitiing lives!

We are building a little picket fence today & hanging the gate on the chicken enclosure. Shed is built & treated - it's lovely! Going to get some more chicken suppies later - feeders, drinkers, food, grit, straw etc etc.

But the most exciting - is that my chicks are due to hatch today. I'm watching the eggs like a hawk, waiting for them to pip.

Tomorrow, we are going Wernlas to pick up my 2 new girls.

Had a Barbeque last night, so tonight we will have tea outside again with some nice wine.

We're going to a VE Day Celebration in a nearby village this afternoon then we're popping over to Diane A's to see her hens afterwards. Really looking forward to both :D . A forties fix, a chicken fix and a good natter in the same afternoon  . The weather is fabulous too. What more could a girl want  .

Didn't get round to posting yesterday, but haven't got a lot planned for the weekend - or have I?

Got up today and cleaned the Eglu, jet washed the patio and it's furniture, Have got to pop out and pick my car mat up from work (and wash the car while there ;) ) as I tipped a full Mcdonalds milkshake over, so hot pressure washed it , getting ready to go the a matinee Agatha Christie performance at the Everyman in Cheltenham this afternoon. Don't have many plans for this evening tho :D

Tomorrow I'm round at Anita's I think, going to paint the fences and tidy up her garden generally, might even teak oil her outdoor furniture if I find the time :?

It's glorious here tho, glad I mowed the lawn when I got in from work yesterday tho - it's nice to wake up to a perfect lawn :D

I remember a perfect lawn - we had one once in the back garden before we got chickens LOL :lol:8)

This was a shot of the lawn the day the chickens came, two years and one week ago...

This was the winter after the hens came...

And this shot was taken last weekend, after I'd been doing up some planting....

Feel very proud to get a garden looking nice again, I even use the pictures at work to show customers what my mower makes the lawn look like, if they are thinking of buying the same one! :D
