Found.... A Big Ginger Chicken

Recommended Posts

The mechanic from the village garage has just knocked at my door to see if I had lost a chicken. She had wandered into the garage workshop this morning and has spent the day there eating sandwiches

The mechanic got talking to a friend of friend of my next door neighbours mum  who told him I had a flock.

So Big ginger is now in a cat carrier in my downstairs loo. I am waiting for OH to come home so we can put together the red Eglu and run.

Big ginger is very tame and very big :D

We don't know where she has come from, I thought I was the only chicken owner in the village.

I will have to put a notice in the local shops and see if anyone claims her.

She is now in the Eglu. It is the first time the run has been used. The summer shade has never been used either. A bit of a panic when we couldn't find the golden pin, run clips and door section of the run  They were in a safe place :lol:

The Eglu and run setup looks very smart 8) We certainely won't be run building when we have moved :D

I absolutely agree, Susan. These funny ginger chickens seem to find people who need them :D . I'd just lost Clarry when our little ginger chicken of fate turned up. Ali, you lost a hen the other day too, didn't you? If you keep her, I hope she turns out to be a super character like Coffee is. She's such a little madam  .

A happy ending. Big Ginger has gone home. Actually I am quite pleased as I don't think my six would have taken to her :?

She lives alone :? and has the run of the garden all day. The owner thinks it is about time she has a friend or two

BG made my Bantams look even smaller. I definately will be getting a couple or three big girls when we have moved :D

Now I will have to dismantle the Eglu and clean up the lawn. BG's poos are enormous :lol:
