rachel19
So has anyone else been to see this yet?? Was so excited yesterday and feel really let down after seeing it - it just wasn't as good as the first 3 They really were grasping at straws with the plot which was awful......the classic indi fight scenes were good but def wasn't up to scratch! AnnieP
Oh, what a shame! I must admit, I saw a trailor when last at the cinema, and poor old Indy does look a bit past it.
Laura & CTB
Oh dear! I was really looking forward to seeing it, is it another film where they've put all the best bits in the trailer?
chelsea
I love Harrison Ford, he's still quite hunky IMO.

Basset
My little 'uns really want to see it next week. Is it a U certificate?
MedusA
Me, my OH and 2 friends have had a marathon this week, watching all the last 3 films in preparation. We're off to see it tomorrow. It's had some very good reviews. OK so HF is a little older, but he still looks good in his hat and bullwhip to me. I'm sure I'll enjoy it. rachel19
I think its a 12a rating - not 100% tho..........I was just very dissapointed by it.......aliens have no place in an indiana jones film as far as im concerned! Ah well, maybe the next one will be better

rachel19
Well theres a couple of gross scenes involving man-eating ants but nothing particularly bad - i think it's just a if they're under 12 they have to be taken with an adult thing - they'd pro be fine........if tyhey've seen the other 3 films then this isn't any worse or anything

Jules.
Thanks. Eth should be fine then. Doctor Who doesn't bother him anymore- apart from the last Christmas one.
Yorkshire Pudding
Glad to hear the ants are the worst of it - our two are going mad to see this film and we weren't sure as the youngest is six. The nine-year-old will be fine but littley may need to hide behind Mummy... we have been showing the previous three films in installments and so far he has enjoyed them a lot and no nightmares (and none from Dr Who either!), so maybe we can consider taking them. chocchick
Most important thing about the film....... there are CHICKENS! well briefly, OH says they have a little scuffle and are probably not a flock but chickens just brought in for the film. Lisastyal
We went to see it on friday and felt totally let down! Ok it wasnt the worst film ive ever seen but Aliens????? it was just wrong. And especially as i'd forced myself to sit through it without a toilet break when im ready to pop in 2 weeks!!! Well at least it got me out and about! rachel19
Yay someone agrees with me about the aliens!!! Having read film reviews about it no-one seems to find the presence of aliens in an indiana jones film morally wrong like me and my housemate so its great to know someone else out there feels the same! MedusA
Well I loved it! I thought it was a classic Indy yarn - lots of riddles to solve and car chases. I enjoyed the joky references to Indy's advancing years. I didn't even mind the alien bit - it all fits with the theories of Inca/Mayan culture and "Was God an astronaut" which abounded at the time the film was set. After all, it was a Spielberg film and I am a sucker for ET every time. I also loved the homages to the past films and Shia Labeouf was spot-on in his Marlon Brando outfit. I thought the nuclear blast village scene was especially well done and very chilling. I noticed the chickens too, chocchick. DD and I leaned forward and winked at each other at that point, which was quite restrained for me. Usually when chickens are spotted on TV in any capacity, I shriek loudly "CHICKIIIIIIIIIIIIINS"
