Q.O.M
Hi, Today our gingernuts have been far more cheeky than our pepperpots. - We heard some flapping so we went to see what had happened and...... Bertie was stuck in the omlet netting! Luckily she is ok, although it was quite tight around her wings. - Secondly, We were outside and turned round and...... Daffodill was sitting on the fence! Luckily she couldn't get over as there is a hegde behind the fence - Lastly both the gingernut chased a duck out of our garden, before the dog managed to get there! I don't know why there was a duck outside- must be from nextdoors pond! SO- what do you think? Are brown chickens more cheeky than black? Chickvic
I would agree with that assumption! Opal is the cheekiest of the lot! Keep having to turf her out the house, other two don't bother now but she's persistant In fact just had to fetch her down stairs as she managed to sneak in and get all the way up! She also likes to just wander through downstairs, I don't know what she thinks she's going to get...apart from a smacked bum if she keeps it up! Q.O.M
Thanks for such a speedy reply! Bertie is so cheeky- she sneaks into the living room and sits on the arm of the sofa!
meezers
Well, our warren-Elsie is the cheekiest , closely followed by Margo- Rhode island red, so that may be true ! Today I had all the chooks in the kitchen while I was getting their treats ready, I had opened the fridge door to get at the cabbage leaves in the crisper bin, when a small brown head appeared under my arm and Elsie decided to help herself from the vege selection , think she'd have been in the fridge had I given her chance luckily she only made off with a bit of cauliflower. Yesterday Elsie ( again ) was in the kitchen, cleaning up around the dogs dishes ( she does have her uses)when she went to go out the door, she found her path blocked by the labrador, instead of going under or around, she decided to go over - stopping for a rest on the way !I wasn't quite quick enough with the camera to get a pic of a chook perched happily on the bemused dogs back- but I'm sure there will be a 'next time'
ajm200
Ours are. Poppy follows us around if she gets the chance, loves a cuddle, is a real escape artist and is always the one that gets into places she shouldn't. Violet is another one for escaping into the main garden at every opportunity. She allows my toddler to follow her round holding her tail as she's worked out that he often has tasty snacks. She's also trained all the men of the house to slug and snail hunt for her.....
ChrisP
My Pepperpot is a lot cheekier than the Gingernut rangers. She's always escaping and wandering into next door - much to the delight of their grandsons, and they dont seem to mind luckily However, the gingernut rangers are louder, so i gues its kind of even for them!
