Louise Posted June 12, 2008 Share Posted June 12, 2008 My employers like to encourage us to have fun and be healthy so to celebrate our main buildings 10th birthday we are having an its a knockout style competition this afternoon All departments have to enter a team and we have to represent a country and come dressed appropriately The events are: Tug of war Welly throwing Bungee run Ballons relay race Water game And finally the pond race through our on site pond Our team is Turkey and we have white trousers and shirts and we will be wearing fez's Wish me luck Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Louise Posted June 12, 2008 Author Share Posted June 12, 2008 There will be lots of pictures no doubt if any are okay for tinternet publishing I will post them tomorrow Aparently HR/Admin are going as Russia in ballet outfits We also have the Engineers as Italy and our commercial company are Norway, I also know of Tanzania and Kenya and USA. There are 11 teams in all and tonight there is a free BBQ for us unfortunately I have to drive so won't be joining in the drinking We did one about 2 years ago and it was good fun They are actually quite good to us with this sort of thing and we all get the afternoon off to attend Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We had 2 teams and it involved running with lots of water in buckets or being wheeled in wheelbarrows. We had penalty shoot outs and hockey dribbling relays. Tug of wars, throwing things, all the kiddie races. It was great fun. We had a little rain, but we were so hot it helped to cool us down - and we got wet anyway.
