Thanks everyone! (Sorry for the delay!). It was a lovely day, so I had fun with my camera! Even Dan the dog was quite relaxed in their free-ranging presence!

 

I tried them with pellet porridge on Saturday which was a great success! Thanks for the suggestion. After an initial peck getting the few bits of corn that I'd put in it, they really got stuck in - and finished the pot within a very short time (made with a handful of pellets)!

 

I gave them 2 pots (ie 2 handfuls) on Sunday and they were empty by tea time. I've left them with 2 again today - they came running for it (rather than trying to get out of the run).

 

Daphne sussed out very quickly that if she sees you coming with some corn and mealworms in a container, she can jump up and headbutt the container to make all the corn spill everywhere! Winnie has now started copying her.... (It was a bit disconcerting having a hen flap up towards your face the first time it happened :shock: !)
