Arriving between 8am and 9am tomorrow morning (hmmm, how to convince DD that she really does want to go to preschool straight after that?!?). Then I'm dashing off to pick up one (or two, still undecided) more chook from local poultry dealers, but will post photos etc tomorrow afternoon if I can drag myself away from them! Sooooo excited! Just taken a DD to preschool and promised her that they'd be here when she got back - bless her, she's been glued to the window for the past hour and he's not turned up!! Now got to phone poultry breeder and rearrange appointment to collect other hen as I was supposed to be there at 10am! Oh well. Good things come to those that wait and all that............ Just spoken to somebody from Omlet who rang me back to say they can't get hold of the Omlet man, his mobile is going straight to answering machine so no idea where he is. But on the plus side, she said she's checked and we're definitely the first delivery of the day so he can't be held up elsewhere and will be here soon. And even better, we've apparently got Angus delivering the chooks and I seem to remember from others photos that he's a bit scrummy!! Finally arrived at 10.45am (hmmpphh!!), and strangely, when I went to collect chook no. 3 my mobile rang with a message from a few days ago (no mobile coverage at all where I live) from Omlet asking to change the time to between 10am and 11am - quite why they didn't phone the home number (the one they were told to always use but they insisted on having a mobile) is beyond me!! Anyway, we've got an Amber Star to go with the other two and so far they all seem to be ok and settling in fine. DD has chosen names - Mrs Pepperpot, Angelina and Alice (!) and hubby is coming home early to meet them! Will post photos later - sorry but I have no idea how to do it so that'll be hubby's job.
