Went to school to collect children, bunny now rehomed

Recommended Posts

a rabbit!

It was spotted on the school field yesterday but wasn't caught until today. No-one has claimed it yet so I offered to look after it until it is claimed or collected by the RSPCA.

The hens are not impressed, the bunny is beautiful and loves sitting on top of the eglu run

Am repeatedly telling both children we are not keeping it, just looking after it for a little while :)

I had a cat like that once - offered to look after a sickly stray that some cleaners at a company had adopted, he died at home 8 years later!

What are you going to call him / her?

Mrs B

(Our last rabbit was called Stuart - Rabbit Stu or Stu the Rabbit!!)

Ray the stray?

I'm not sure. Am trying desperately not to fall in love with him/her/it.

Is a beautiful black and white splodgy lop. Quite big.

OH is suggesting Jugged Hare after watching Supersizers go Regency last night

The last rabbit I had (many moons ago) was called Dinner by my brother and the name stuck.

Splodge is now sitting on top of the run, looks like he/she might be asleep

Where are the photos

Think we cross-posted ANH!

I hope his owner realises where he is and comes forward, they must miss him a lot.

My thoughts exactly. He (I'm going to refer to him as he until I know otherwise) doean't look like a youngster so I think he must be a much-loved pet.

Unfortunately loads of houses back onto the school field so leafletting will be a big job.

Guess I'm going to be walking the streets tomorrow :D

one idea, try asking the school to put a notice in their weekly newsletter sent home from school (if they ahve one) or ask for a flyer to be given to each child? that way you'll 'hit' a lot of homes in one swoop.

I bet some child(ren) are looking right now, I hate it when pets go missing, heartbreaking.

hey thats our rabbit!! we lost one like that a couple of year ago!

every time i go to sainsburys early evening we drive past a certain area . a bank near the road where there are tons of rabbits :D i love to watch them with the babies :D

What makes me laugh the most is that most are grey and the odd one is that fawn pet rabbit colour  definatly an escaped rabbits offspring there

It was announced in Assembly today and "Ooops, word censored!"ody said theirs was missing :(

We have over 400 children in school, my other thought is that someone has let it go on purpose maybe because they are going on holiday :?

But he looks well cared for.

We shall see.

Rabbit of Fate eh?

He did turn up 3 days after our Summer Fete :)

I can see him from where I'm sitting now, happy as anything on top of the run.

There are certainly lots of children off ill. I'm hoping the Jungle drums will be working and someone will call in to school tomorrow.

The RSPCA and local Rabbit and Guinea Pig rescue co-ordinators have been contacted but no-one has any space at the moment. I'll happily keep him until his owner turns up or for a week or so to give them chance to find me.

How about putting a sign up at the entrances to the school grounds, hopefully then everybody will see it :D

He is gorgeous. Great to see he is happy with his foster home
