theherd123
No, i thought that too. Quite rude considering she went out of her way for them. Dont know who she was talking about when she mentioned knitting little jumpers for them! Honestly some folks will do anything for their chooks! redhotchick
Must they keep rolling out the same line about "Hen Parties". " Many owners are so proud of their flocks that they have taken to organising “hen parties” in which current and prospective owners gather in back gardens to cuddle and talk to chickens and learn about keeping them." Instead of making it sound like an opportunity for prospective owners to learn about chickens and how to handle them in a relaxed and fun environment, they make it sound so twee, and a bit weird. Am I just being touchy?
Lesley
No - I thought the same when I got to the "cuddle and talk to hens" bit - makes it all sound a bit too much Dr. Dolittle
Phonix
Ive never been to a hen party but that article (and any others ive read that have mentioned them) make it sound sooo strange and almost mocking! Why do people (journalists) insist on twisting things like that!!!!! Stacey x
Seagazer
I must admit it does make it sound as if everyone who goes to the parties are probably a bit "fluffy". They should be applauding the fact that people can get a chance to learn how to look after chickens before getting them and making mistakes. Shame more organisations don't do this sort of thing. The Dogmother
Good articles.. all good publicity Must they keep rolling out the same line about "Hen Parties". I get annoyed by that too - the local paper that interviews me came up with exactly the same, which wasn't what I said at all. They may have got it from the Omlet mothership as they'd interviewed Johannes as well.
