Rolo Rabbit
I really hope someone can help! The lid of Rolo rabbit's food box was left off and some time ago rain must have got in making a bit of a mush at the bottom. I decided to tackle it today and as I poured it into the compost heap I must have got some of it on my hands. The resulting smell is a mixture of .. well, I can't describe it. It's like someone has had a bad tummy bug. I've washed my hands 3 times then scrubbed them with lemon juice and finally scrubbed them with antibacterial spray and the smell is still there! Does anyone know what I can do to get rid of it?
Tessa the Duchess
Sounds horrid Bicarb is supposed to neutralise smells. Could you maybe make a paste with it and smear it on your hands and leave it for a while? I suppose it will wear off eventually Tessa
Blackrocksrock
Rub them with a stainless steel implement such as a spoon etc under running water as that will take the smell away - they sell a stainless steel soap at Lakeland but I use a serving spoon! gracefruit
Washing your hands with cold coffee might help, too. I regularly use coffee in deodorising soaps and it works a treat.

I just use the tap itself. It does work.

Rolo Rabbit
Thanks for all your replies. Funnily enough, before I got to try them I was peeling some potatoes and by the end I noticed the smell had gone! Maybe they have some cleansing property. They tasted ok!
