Ardene5
Congratulation. Wear the school uniform and correct school shoes nicely cleaned, be polite. Be prepared to offer help to others at any time who need a shoulder to cry on, listen to problems and try to offer solutions to help both pupil and school. Talk about things which could benefit the school like having a school Omlet with hens as this would teach any one the values of free better quality eggs and looking after chickens and other animals but could also lead on to what happens in farming so becomes a useful part of schooling. Good luck Best regards Ian & Valerie William & Harry missy & millie dogs girls 5 ex battery hens x 2, x
MedusA
Nothing extra to add to the excellent tips already listed, except to wish you good luck with the process and fingers crossed you get it!
ubereglu
Thank you everyone! I don't feel too scared or nervous at the minute! I wrote my speech yesterday about why the school was so special and now I've learn the beginning and end fully, just need to sort out the middle! Have come up with rough cards to help me out,but will put them on nice sheets of card once I've truly worked out what I keep forgetting. I really hope I get this now, but knowing the fellow candidates I have at least 2 really good competitors.
Jules.
Liz I'd just be yourself at the interview I was the Head Girl at my high school- I wasn't interviewed, I was voted by the teachers & then just asked to do the role by the head teacher
Ain't Nobody Here
Best of luck, Liz. You're obviously more than half way there already .
Fleur
Just be yourself and maybe practice the interview with your mother beforehand.

ubereglu
I was the Head Girl at my high school- I wasn't interviewed, I was voted by the teachers & then just asked to do the role by the head teacher Well the teachers also get asked to vote for who they want at our school too. However you also have to go through a student voice panel, (like school council, thankfully none of my year will be in this!), an interview-Not too worried, I'll just be myself and smile! And I have to do a presentation-I've gone through this about 10 times now and have got three prompt cards to refer back too. Feeling slightly nervous now though! Mind you at least I'm the first girl to go up for everything in the schedule though as that way I don't see any scared candidates coming out of the room! Rona
Good luck for tomorrow. You've had loads of good advice on here and seem very well organised so I'm sure you'll do really well.
ubereglu
Well unfortunately I didn't get Head Girl or Deputy. Instead I'm just a semior prefect...you are the first to know as technically I was supposed to keep quiet about it as no one officially knows yet as it has to be announced tomorrow in the official assembly, but seeing how you're unlikely to tell anyone that matters I don't really suppose it matters that I've told you! However saying that one of the Deputies I now want to kill as she gave hints to who actually got what at an after school choir session and whilst she was out of the room someone had worked it completely out and practically informed everyone who was there. Not happy. Mind you that particular child really annoys me as she is the type of person where things have to be done HER way rather than anyone else's. Hopefully people will realise this during the course of the year and she'll get a big speaking to.
Jules.
Sorry you didn't get it Senior prefect is still a great position to have, & will look great on UCAS applications etc.
Mrs Frugal
Oh dear, Liz. I'm sorry you didn't get to be head girl but senior prefect is cool so very well done to you . That's something to be very proud of.

MedusA
Sorry you didn't get it. What do they know anyway? As others have said - Senior Prefect is still a big responsibility and looks good on your cv in the future.
ubereglu
Bad luck. Their loss. Well, I'm just going to try my hardest to be a really good senior prefect and hopefully make the biggest impact out of all of them. Then it really will show them, especially as, as I mentioned one of the deputies is very flexible...people just need to show her up for who she really is... Ain't Nobody Here
Sorry you didn't get it . Sounds like you'll do a great job as a senior prefect - you just show them what they've missed out on!
kannie
Well, I'm just going to try my hardest to be a really good senior prefect and hopefully make the biggest impact out of all of them.... Sorry to hear you didn't get it Liz, but I think your policy of still trying your hardest is really good. Don't be too competitive: strong teamworking skills are really important! Rona
I'm sorry you didn't get it Liz, but i'm sure you will be an outstanding senior prefect and there may be an opportunity for something else just round the corner that you wouldn't be able to do if you were Head Girl or Deputy. Keanie Bean
Well done on the senior prefect role. It means you can still make a great impression. Thier loss on not having you as head girl. Sarah.x
Ardene5
So sorry to read you did not receive the head girl placement. But remember if the person is ill or not available at any time, you could volunteer to do her job so when you write your cv you can state that you deputized for the head girl. Best of luck for the coming year. Ian & Valerie William & Harry missie & milly dogs girls 5 ex battery Hens x2, x1
