Willow
They mostly slow down over winter. However they also slow down if they are getting too hot. It may be worth getting more shade and make sure they always have plenty to drink.
tara
They free range the garden most of the day and sit under the trees. They also help them selfs to the dog water bowl which is quite funny as they put there heads through the decking to get to it May be they will pick up abit. There run is covered with shades but it dose get hot other wise.Fingers crossed oe ill be going to the farm shop me thinks. Egluntyne
Could they be laying under a shrub in the garden? Are they having too many treats? Why not confine them to the run for a day or two, and give them layers pellets and water only, and see if it makes a difference? Whenever we go away for the weekend, or they have a day confined to the run, I always find a massive increase in the number of eggs being laid. Funny you should say that, our girls have been shut in their run this week because of the heavy rain we have had here and the eggs have doubled
