Sandychick
Just thought I'd mention this - I've seen a few of these on eglu runs, so thought I would give it a go. I've used a roll of lawn edgeing (£2.50). I don't know if anyone else has tried using this (?) but it's vey durable stuff, the right height and works well. Liam
Looks really good.... Can I ask how you attached it to the wire on the run? Thanks! Liam
Sandychick
Looks really good.... Can I ask how you attached it to the wire on the run? Thanks! Liam Thanks I put holes in the lawn edging using one of those U shaped nails that you use for attaching wire netting to a fence. This gives two holes just the right distance. Then used small cable ties through the holes to attatch it to the run

AJuff
I bought a roll of lawn edging from Tesco for 99p. It works a treat!! And looks good too.
Yolky
Where did you get your edging from Sandychick?
Abbey Road Girl
I got what looks like the same thing through LETS, my local & exchange trading scheme. The faded price tag said £6.95 but I imagine that was before everything was made more cheaply in China.
TheChookKeeper
That looks great - I have been looking for a cheaper way to achieve this result... this is it! Any particular reason you attach it to the inside of the run, rather than the outside? I only ask as I don't much fancy climbing inside my run (through that silly little door!) to attach it!!! Thanks for a brill idea!
Sandychick
Where did you get your edging from Sandychick? I got it from poundstreacher or 'instore' as they call it now.... there's enough on the roll for about 3 eglu runs! Tesco's sounds like a bargain though. Sandychick
Any particular reason you attach it to the inside of the run, rather than the outside?I only ask as I don't much fancy climbing inside my run (through that silly little door!) to attach it!!! Thanks for a brill idea! Just thought it looked better on the inside. I didn't like the idea of crawling in the run either. I took the run off and turned it upside down. To make sure its in the right place you need something flat to act as the ground when it's this way up (sheet of cardboard worked for me). Yolky
Thanks for this post yesterday as I went to instore and bought some today, had 20% off in ours so only £2, bargain! Got some cable ties from there too.
alih
looks fab - we have the same stuff only round the edge of the old veg patch we keep the chickens on - it looks great attached to the run itself...

Sandychick
My converter for the run arrived toaday Just been putting lawn edgeing on that bit too. The coverter is ace, what a difference......very happy chickens!
Steve.
I did mine a few weeks ago. Wilko pack of lawn edging was a few quid, and I had some green cable ties already. Have done it on the outside of the run for speed and ease of replacement. Looks good and is effective.
