Guest
The hot pink pinny is FABULOUS!!!! One 'accidentally' fell into my order when I got my shopping bags, and it's just fantastic - the only apron I've ever owned with an adjustable neck, meaning it doesn't gape open at the boobs, so no more floury bustlines! Delivery only took 2 days, Louise, so you should be in luck for Friday! Edited August 21, 2006 by Guest
AnnieP
Fingers crossed they get it to you....they have been quick when I've ordered stuff...

Cinnamon
I must agree about the Omlet bags - they are fab I don't use them at Tesco as I use Bags for Life there, but I will use them when shopping in town with pride Any chance of a pink one though,to match my Crocs??? I DID resist the Apron, but also got a pink T Shirt for Cleos' Christmas stocking ,& its really nice.
Charlottechicken
I think I will get a pack of the Omlet bags to give as Christmas presents, they will make great gifts . They also look strong enough for fruit and veg from the market , and my bags for life were put under considerable strain today, so when they go I would like to replace with something a little more permanent (make that two packs of Omlet bags then ) Are the dimensions printed anywhere? Louise
There is a picture of jan in the newsletter and she has one on her shoulder to give you an idea of size
Guest
I couldn't find a tape measure, but holding it up to a Tesco bag for life, it's just a bit smaller. But stronger and so much NICER!
PurpleHen
I wonder whether they would object to me taking along some Sainsbury and M&S bags On Friday I used 4 Spar plastic bags and 1 Sainsbury's "Bag for Life" - not a Tesco bag in sight but I still got my points!! Does anyone know what these points add up for? I picked up my Omlet bags on Saturday and they're fab - first proper outing will be lunchtime today for a quick shop
Guest
Does anyone know what these points add up for? They will just be added to your clubcard points total - they'll be showing the separately on your till receipt so prove that they have been awarded to you. Charlottechicken
And if they are worth the same as a normal point it may be an idea to take half a dozen bags each time, spend less at Tesco but get more points
Guest
Cunning........
Charlottechicken
Until Tesco latch on to that trick and change the rules
ali-s
And if they are worth the same as a normal point it may be an idea to take half a dozen bags each time, spend less at Tesco but get more points I have had the idea of using my own bags, not putting so much shopping in each one as I would have done with a Tesco carrier bag. Which means more bags used and so more points gained
AnnieP
Use 20 bags for 20 items! Just put 1 item in each bag.... Bingo! 20 points!

CannyCat
I dont know how many of you sew, but totes are seriously easy to make - and you could make them out of whatever patterned fabric you liked I'd be happy to post a tutorial if it's called for
Charlottechicken
I make my own tote bags, I usually find some nice 'fabric' in a charity shop on the 50p rail They are just a series of rectangles and you can make the gusset bit as wide as you like, especially useful if you want nice sandwich box sized bags and your lunch still looking like lunch Nice to know I am not the only one carrying home made bags around
Chicken on a mission
Use 20 bags for 20 items! Just put 1 item in each bag.... Bingo! 20 points! Well that's exactly what they seem to do when you have your shopping delivered so they can't complain about it
Cinnamon
Not sure if anyone else has posted this,& can't be bothered reading through the thread again (well, it is Sunday!) Sainsburys have bought out a very nice looking jute bag for £1.99....squarer in shape that the Omlet ones & with thicker handles. The good news is if you buy 5 items from their Organic range, its free
AnnieP
Wow! That's a really great idea! I hope the others soon follow suit and copy! We don't have a Sainsburys near us...

Guest
Thanks for the tip Cinnamon I have just been to Sainsburys and now have a lovely new shopping bag. They are really sturdy and have lovely strong handles and will hold loads of shopping The fruit and veg was useful as well as I haven't had my usual veg box delivery as we have been away for the last 2 weekends
