yes and mine love both. Sometimes they get a whole head of broccoli if I am feeling generous

Mine turn up their beaks at carrot peelings and are a bit sniffy about broccoli unless it is cooked!! They are all different so you just have to try them on (almost) everything.

I don't peel carrots, but I'd give them left over carrots cooked and they love them.

 

I also give them brocolli both raw and cooked.

I had a whole raw carrot and popped it in, hope that is ok.

 

 

Are past their best but not off yet cherry toms ok?

I gave mine a beautiful head of broccoli, lovely and fresh and they weren't interested.

They didn't like pasta either!

 

They eat fresh pea shucks.

 

But, offer them M&S Santini plum tomatoes....... and they go crazy!

mine love a full head of brocolli, I have two nails in the run opposite sides I impale a head on each mail and they make very short work of it...however they turn up their beals at carrot of any sort..lol, fussy lot my girls... they love spinach too... and muesli

mine kind of pounce on carrot peelings so long as they are "fresh" i.e. just peeled and put straight int he garden - they don't like them if they are an hour or so old! Fussy little critters!

Mine paid no attention to broccoli whatsoever at first. Now it's the Treat du Jour!

 

On the other hand, I put out a strand of cooked noodle from my Chinese takeaway today thinking it would be as successful as spaghetti is reported to be and they responded as though it was something from a Hitchcock film!

 

Go figure!

I got some whole corn on the cob in Sainsburys last night 2 for 25 pence reduced, let's see what they make of those. I also got some carrots with green leafy tops, also reduced from £1.99 to 30 pence!

your Sainsbury's sounds great ! Mine never reduce anything that much ! Hope they enjoyed the corn, mine love it. And 'furry carrots' are the greatest! They are so expensive and not always available; my girls love the tops but left the carrot, but my other pets devour the lot ! But I might try the choocks with the carrot part again....

I think it is hilarious when you put something the haven't seen before in especially if it is a different colour. They give it the quizical eye and bok to eachother

mine will eat just about anything, but the bok bok at new thinsgs is funny, tried them with nastersan yesterday, the flowers had faded & the leaves were over growing my other beds, took them a while but then they all pounced on them

I got scared!!! I gave mine carrot pealings then half an our later thought omg what if that is the same as long grass and straw and will give them impacted crop, then spent the next hour picking out all the bits!!!

 

Would it??? or was i just being an overprotective chicken mummy?????
