Your girls are so funny. They are still inside the eglu run but the pekins do try to square up to my brahmas for some strange reason. I have tried to explain to them that the brahmas would probably eat them if they ever got hold of them but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

How funny - I'm not surprised about Florence squaring up but Penelope was such a softy here, she must think she needs to toughen up now that she's "up north"!

 

How is Beatrix?

They are all fine. They are really tucking into their morning layers mash porridge. Beatrix has first peck then the others join in. Has she always been top bird?

She would try to be top hen over Florence but Beatrix and Penelope sort of had an equal standing.

 

Glad to hear they've settled. Hope your mum in law is feeling better - is she enjoying the girls too?
