Cinnamon
I'm Ok actually - just a bit gripey still. It was jam that did it - it hadn't been in the fridge & I had some on toast. In my wine addled state last night I thought it was OK,but sniffing it this morning....well,it smells like it has fermented & is truly horrible. Note to self ,do not drink & then eat

Cinnamon
We has Mexican Eggs for supper last night (we had an egg glut to use up!) with crusty rolls...YUM Tonight I am trying a new recipe I have found - Smoked Haddock carbonara. It isn't a heavy creamy sauce type carbonara, but more of a parmesan coated pasta one. Anyway,it uses 3 eggs (yay!) & it looks yummy
Black RockStar
Up at 03:30. Drive 20 minutes to work. Meet my first airplane from Memphis at 0600. Perform desired maintenance, add fuel and depart same aircraft to Paris CDG at 0815. Drive home arriving 0900. Paint door frame in spare room. Have lunch, take quick shower. Drive back to work at 1330. Meet second aircraft from New York Newark at 1430. Perform required maintenance, add fuel and depart same to Paris CDG at 1545. Perform service check and preflight to third aircraft that arrived Saturday evening. Everything seems to work as planned. Retire to office, check cricket score only to find England all out for a poultry ( ) 190. Check to see who has been announced as new Ipswich manager. Have a cuppa and eat early dinner. Return to third aircraft, perform final preflight and add approx 90,000 litres of fuel to get it non-stop back to Memphis. Have a coffee and share a joke with flight crew when finished. Push aircraft out of gate 5 minutes early at 2050. Wave off the crew and return to office. Book my tickets for trips to Basle and Madrid later in the month. Colleague currently doing station cover in Mumbai calls for a chat as he's bored in the hotel. Leave for home at 2130 and arrive 15 minutes later remaing within all applicable speed limits Crash in front of the TV for 30 minutes or so, relax with a coffee, take a quick shower and then bed.....ZZZZZZZZZZZ

Black RockStar
Wow Paul, what a day! No wonder all you're ready for at the end are some zzzzzz's! Thats not a typical day, but you definately know you've done it by the end! Today is a regular 1300-2400 shift, same tomorrow, then five lovely rostered days off! It does have some benefits. KateB
Corr those times bring back some memories - I used to work at Stansted too and just the thought of going back to shift work brings me out in a cold sweat - I remember thinking as I walked from the car park 'why oh why oh why am I starting work at 4am? It's the middle of the blooming night!' Still, i also remember that all those lovely rostered days off though... Mind you though, I've still got those really as I get school holidays off now instead!
