Omlet Hamster Cage For Sale Best Offer

[Guest]

My girls have been here just over 4 weeks now, and apart from 2 days when Evangeline produced two soft-shelled eggs, they have not come up with anything between them. I have fed them, pampered them, bonded with them and generally been a really, really nice 'HenMum', so I think it is really about time that they gave me an egg that I can eat. I'm not greedy - just one to start with would be fine.

SO.....

I would be really, really grateful if all Omleteers could send some postive egg-laying vibes in our direction - especially those All Knowing Super Chickens out there.....

It will happen eventually, honestly.

I had to wait 6 weeks first time round.

I'll send some egg - vibes your way, although it didn't help Electricbarbarella!

Thank you! No egg yet, but Honeysuckle has certainly been in and out of the egu this morning and that is a new development!

I love the Frank Lloyd Wright quote - my daughter is an architecture student, so I have passed it on to her....

The day I bought my girls home I bought six eggs from the supermarket to encourage their egg laying vibes . It workd as one started laying the next day!

Be patient Good things come to those who wait.

It will happen and the pleasure will be all the more for the wait.

Now that all the platitudes are out of the way:

"HURRY UP AND LAY AN EGG"

[Mutrix Farmers]

After the first egg appeared I gave the other 2 a stern taking to - don't be too nice to them, they'll just take advantage

[Electricbarbarella]

They did help me, i now have eggs.

Sending you vibes, god that first egg tastes good, so my mum assures me after she ate it because we were on holiday.

[cluckbok]

come on chookies, you can do it for your mum!

[jules.chuck]

I find to aid the egg laying vibes a good glass of beer (or wine) helps.... after a few you forget about eggs and concetrate on walking !

My first egg took egg-actly 5 weeks

YOU DID IT GUYS! Or maybe it was the chickens? Anyway, I have steered clear of the 'Eggs' forum for a while because I was really beginning to think I was doing something wrong - if 1 chicken doesn't lay, it could be the chicken's fault, but all 3? Gave the girls a really serious talking to yesterday morning and this morning, saying it really wasnt on, that they had been here a while now and that they really should get on with it.... Went out shopping and came back, checked the nest box YET AGAIN with very little hope of finding anything - and THERE IT WAS - a perfect 50g egg! I think it was probably Honesuckle as she is very red-in -the-wattle and is 'crouchy'. WHAT A CLEVER GIRL!

[dancing cloud]

But it could have been the box of paxo, tub of bisto and auntie bessie's roast potatoes in the shopping bag that provided the motivation ...
