gooner.girl
Not being a big wearer of them myself (ok - i never wear them) but having some sitting in my drawer doing nothing I am planning to send them off here to 'tights please'... 524,000 women die from complications of pregnancy and childbirth each year and of these deaths, 99% occur in impoverished, developing countries. For every woman who dies, another 40 or 50 suffer severe injuries and complications. We are collecting used (and washed) tights from customers to send to the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia. The tights will be used to hold dressings in place when women suffer from childbirth injuries in particular when they suffer the Fistula condition. It can be very hard to hold these dressings in place and tights just happen to be the perfect solution Ethopia Tights Appeal Tightsplease 2nd Floor Albion Court 18 – 20 Frederick Street Hockley Birmingham B1 3HE You can send any type of tights as long as they are washed and do not have ladders towards the top/waist of the leg. Am sure you omlet ladies must have tons lurking around.... http://www.tightsplease.com/charity.php

Egluntyne
What a good idea gooner.girl. Being a wellies type of gal I don't hwear many, but will save them from now on. The Fistula Hospital is one of the charities I support anyway, so this is an extra way of helping them out. Will post this at work too. chili pepper
Phil in tights Did any one play that game as a kid when you put a tennis ball into one leg of a pair of tights and stood with your back against a wall and bounced it over your head, side to side and between your legs until you wore a hole in the tights and the ball went flying? Not to mention people coming out of their houses to moan about the noise we were making on their walls

Tessa the Duchess
Phil in tights Weirdly I heard a piece on Radio 4 the other day about a company that makes tights for men They sell loads of them, mostly to blokes that have to work outside in the winter. Nothing like a pair of tights to keep your nether parts warm when it's chilly Tessa

That would be asking for trouble.. on a similar vein - tho now straying off topic - I did used to play the game where you spread your fingers on a table and stab a sharp knife or compass in between then over and over again until mortally wounding yourself... that was fun! a bit like this... (only much faster!)
Ain't Nobody Here
You obviously knew how to have fun as a kid . I played with space hoppers, roller skates, lego and a bike - how tame .

That was their excuse anyway.
