Phonix
Well its taken me until today to post this but I thought I would anyway. I crashed the car on friday and by all opinions was quite lucky to get out in one piece. I have never felt soo awful than as I did by the side of the motorway waiting for someone to get me. I'll look at those people you see stood by the side of their broken-down card differently from now on. I crashed before 1 in the afternoon and didn't get home (to whitehaven) until after 7:30. As some of you may know a friend of mine died in a car accident earlier this year so all I could think of as it happened was 'oh god no-one needs this now'. To make matters worse my phone battery died whilst I was on the hard shoulder and that panicked me even more. All in all not a good day. Called one of my friends when I got home (I was supposed to be meeting them all at and she was soo relieved that I rang her instead of texting as if she just got a message she'd have only read the bit saying 'car crash' and panicked that she'd lost another friend. All i can say is that im soo lucky. Not really sure why im posting this but I suppose I just wanted to get it all out. Stacey xXx

redhotchick
Stacey, so glad you are ok. I drive around for work sometimes and often see accidents right in front of me! It is very scary. As it was I was a passenger in an car accident on Sunday. Not great. Car is in the garage. We are both fine. Take care out there!
Phonix
thanks guys. Ive seen many accidents (well the aftermath) as I travel from Whitehaven to Liverpool on a regular basis and I always hate the sight. As it is im not the world's most confident driver and have never really enjoyed it so this is just another reason for me to put off doing it Just spoke to the insurance company and the other car (transit van) is undamaged however the car I was driving (my mum and dads) may be a write off. I feel awful On the plus side im ok and my parents have been really good about it. The worst I came out with is soreness, bruises and stiffness. I didn't want to go to the hospital as I didn't want to panic anyone or have all the fuss as I felt fine Thanks for your good wishes, it means alot. Ain't Nobody Here
You poor thing . I'm so glad you're not too badly hurt. Take care of yourself, you may get a delayed reaction to the shock of it.

Couperwife
oh no stacey im so glad that you are ok. a car can be replaced - regardless of what happened, you cannot. get yourself a cup of tea, or a stiff drink, and relax as much as you can. I might suggest that you go and get yourself checked out as well though, just to be sure. (((HUGS)))) cathy x
Ms Marple
You are ok that is the most important fact right now. You are right to write about it here as talking about it will help you to come to terms with it and get it straight in yor mind. I know you don't know me but please accept my sympathy and thoughts. I hope you are feeling better soon.
Joojoo
Oh it sounds like you've had a horrible few days. Really pleased that you are ok. It will probably take you a while to get over the shock of it all. I'm sorry I didn't know you had lost a friend recently. I'm not surprised that went through your mind Hope you are feeling better very soon

Seagazer
I'm so sorry for you Stacey but so glad you are ok. Forget about the car, the insurance will sort that out. You are what is important. (That's what hubby always says if anyone has an accident). I hope you're not too stiff from the accident, sometimes it takes a couple of days. Don't let it put you off driving though. You must keep going. My SIL overturned her car on motorway years ago and it took her sometime to get going again but she's glad she did. chickencam
Glad you are physically ok, give yourself a little time to deal with the shock, then you must get back to driving. I passed my test then didn't drive for 2 years, I am so glad that OH bought me a cheap car and made me drive it as much as possible to get my confidence going. The independance of being able to drive is so important. You never know when you might need to. My mum never learnt and it has left her in a few awkward situations in the past couple of years.
