Snowy
When she sang the 'yooouuu' in her song, it had a really nasal twang to it! I'm amazed none of the judges picked up on it - very painful to listen to

clootie
The programme stylist needs to tell Eoghan not to wear that hat. It doesn't do him any favours.
Cooks
Mack the Knife was sung by Austin.... badly in my opinion

Omletina Kyckling
Laura sang "God bless the child" by Billie Holiday, here she is singing it with Count Basie... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7IYTx60s07A Now you'll know what I meant when I said that Laura thrashed it out whilst the original was very understated (it was written by Billie)
MedusA
I think the standard this year is generally very high, particularly amongst the women. Last year was a dead loss, I only think Leon won because people were confused and thought they were still voting with Leona (perhaps somebody called Leo should enter, they'd be bound to win Oooooh! Better get OH to enter next year then as his name is Leo and he's pretty good at karaoke! I agree that the girls are miles above the boys (with the exception of Austin). There are several excellent singers. I find some of Diana's mannerisms a little annoying but overall I love her, Laura, Ruth (Simon can't take his eyes off her boobs so no wonder he's got her name wrong twice) and Alexandra (I thought Candyman was brilliant). I have to admit that Rachel (who I don't like) sang brilliantly this week. I'm sorry to say that Scott deserved to go this week. I predict it will be Daniel's turn next week. Cooks
I like Austin, I have to admit, but I didn't like this version of Mack the Knife.. I really felt he massacred it..

Seagazer
When she sang the 'yooouuu' in her song, it had a really nasal twang to it! I'm amazed none of the judges picked up on it - very painful to listen to Thank goodness its not just me thinking that too! That is the bit that annoys me every week with her. She keeps having songs that have 'you' at the end of a line and I can't stand the way she sings it. Her look has been done so many times before - not original at all. Looking forward to tonight's show and really hoping that the old man goes this week (sorry is it Daniel? I'm tired - we left Devon at 7 am this morning and I've had a couple of glasses of wine )

Seagazer
We watched the rerun on Sunday and I noticed that she sang that bit in the song - typical! Not sure I could bring myself to listen to it because of that. The rest of the song was lovely.

clootie
I agree Snowy - Eoghan just isn't up to it. Don't like Rachael at all - can't warm to her and I have tried. Is it just me or is anyone else fed up with all the suggestive comments made to Louis about his sexuality? BORING!!

clootie
Well, you didn't miss much - missed her cue, not a great song choice and was too busy lapping up the applause to listen to Louis Walsh. Not a favourite of mine as you can probably guess !!
Cooks
I thought Daniel was pants, I love that song and he ruined it. Rachel was nothing special tonight. The person who shone tonight was.. surprisingly Diane! she was brilliant with her song, it suited her perfectly. The others were ok.. but not my favourite week. It gets seriously boring, and I don't care what they think of each other, I just want to hear their comments of the singers, but not some of the insignificant comments that sometimes are said! Clootie, I didn't spot Shane Ward, where was he!?
clootie
He was on camera just after the spat between Louis and Simon re Louis not putting Alexandra through a couple of years ago. Louis reminded Simon that was the year Shane Ward won so he actually did her a favour by not putting her through (coz she wouldn't have won anyway I guess!) and there he was on cue !!
