It's here, I've been waiting patiently for it to be painted,and it arrived this morning . Looks fab, wish i could do photos,have spent the afternoon rearranging eggs and playing with it.

Oh goodie . Another excuse to wheel out the picture of my egg skelter which features on Freddie's (a forum member) egg skelter website .

It's a wonderfully simple way to store your eggs and keep them in order so you use the oldest first ,it looks like a helter skelter for eggs. There are photos on the forum somewhere, i wish i could manage photos.

As soon as mine arrives and OH returns with the camera (forgot to pack it along with lots of other essentials) I'll post a piccie of mine. But it won't be as colourful as yours.

Are the colours shown on the website a true indication of the colour you get?

 

Colour is notoriously difficult to represent. For example, the "poppy" looks orange to me, but someone mentioned they had ordered a red one.

Definitely egg skelter, much easier to determine which is the egg that needs using first! Freddie should get some sort of design award!!

That does look nice purple hen. Do you wash your eggs (I ask because the ones that look like the newest ones look wet) because from what I have read you aren't supposed to as when the eggs come out they have a protective bloom on them and washing eggs actually forces germs into the eggs. Hope you don't mind me mentioning it

Very observant Yolky, normally i don't wash the eggs but just this once for the photo i gave the top 3 a wipe with some damp kitchen roll because one of the girls had pooed in the nest box and they were a bit yucky and not very photogenic.
