My boys just love the chickens

Oh what great photos, your boys are lovely. I think it's great for children to grow up with pets - your chooks are very well behaved too aren't they?

What hansome little boys they will break a few hearts

Chickens not bad either

[Yolky]

I have to say that the chickens are blooming brill with the kids. They let the boys smooth them and pick them up. I will never be without chickens, they simply are the best pets ever

[Snowy]

What gorgeous little boys Yolky! Lovely pictures! I agree, chickens do make great pets - my little boys also love their chickens, and the chickens are very forgiving and put up with ever such a lot of 'affection'!

What lovely boys (and chicken) I agree they make great pets, and they make the garden come alive somehow.

[Gamebird]

What lovely photos of your boys.

Your chickens are obviously well handled and enjoy being cuddled.

Lucky boys and girls.

Lovely photos.

Unfortunately, much as my toddler loves the girls, they won't let him get anywhere near them! Ginger will let me cuddle her, and when the other 2 escape the netting and I have to corner them to pick them up to put them back in, I try to get them used to being stroked and handled, but they all run a mile when junior approaches. Although having said that, I did manage to corner Pepper with junior at my side, and he was very gentle when he stroked her feathers, but they're still not really as used to him as they are to me........

Lovely pictures! Im hoping my girls will become more tame and give into cuddles when they start laying, my DD who is 9 cant wait to pick them up!
