The Dogmother
As some of you may know (see my thread in NB), The Boy is now being a year-round Father Christmas and delivering Eglus and Cubes for Omlet. He was telling me about the new run clips, which he says are much better then the old ones, and above all don't shred your fingers! He showed me one last night, and instead of being cut from one extruded length - hence the sharp edges on the old ones - these new ones are individually moulded and have rounded corners and are much stronger, so less likely to crack and perish with repeated use. I will try to get a photo of one to post if he shows me again, but I shall certainly be ordering a bag of the new clips to replace my old ones.... they will make life so much easier and clipping the run will be far less painful
MedusA
That's really good news, Clare. I have the devil's own job with the old ones. *sigh* Pics would be good.
The Dogmother
Are you able to upload a photo Laura? I doubt that I can rely on The Boy having a spare one floating around in his pocket tonight
Nutmeg
We have the new clips (with the logo) and I still can't work them! OH has just adjusted the run entrance so I don't have to crawl through the small door and he used re-usable zipper ties, which I can release and re-tighten as and when I need to get in the run. catherinee99
They are wonderful! I asked for some to go with my birthday present (the china egg trays in pale blue which are also wonderful) I used the run clips immediately as I wasn't sure about some of my old ones still being secure. They hold everything together really well and make the run feel much sturdier. I found them easy to use and much better on your fingers and nails. They seem to grip better when you close them. Not tried undoing them though. Buy some!
woody
hi This is my first post, hope the photos show the new clip clearly enough Edited September 17, 2008 by Guest
The Dogmother
Thanks for the photo Woody - hey, you live near me! Phil says thst they are easier to undo - he used a 50p piece, but then he was probably just being feeble
Steve.
My Cube can with these in July .... and I ordered a couple of extra bags when I got my extension + door conversion. I used the clips as securing my door conversion ... they only take a few moments to undo-do up. At that speed I can't be bothered to get anything else. Egg Lou
I have these clips and have opened and closed many times and so far have had no problems They do still make your fingers a little sore though if you have to do lots!

I struggle with a 'fresh' one ... though if it's been pre-bent that does make it easier.
