Lesley
Is anyone else having a problem with this Company? We ordered 8 chickens in February ............ 3 were supposed to be delivered at the end of April - they weren't. I eventually phoned to ask and was told they'd had problems with that particular batch of Copper Blacks. The remaining 5 were due to be delivered at the beginning of July. I've heard nothing from them and when I phoned this morning, I only got the answer machine
Popcorn
Are they ready to cook Lesley or are they your 'dinners'?
Lesley
No - they are layers. Good Life do the Sapphires which lay blue eggs. The Copper Black lays a dark chocolate brown egg.

Despite phoning and e-mailing them...........I've been re-assured that it's on it's way but still no sign of any money back!!!! I'm going to have to go and seek legal advice soon i think..........I definately wouldn't use them ever again
The Dogmother
Has anyone let Barbara know, then she can be sure not to recommend them to any newbies. perhaps let Omlet know too.
Cinnamon
I am glad this has come up as I was debating whether to get a pair of Jasmines from them or to wait for the new blue layer from Medowsweet. This has helped me decide

Martin B
Didn't they have a 4 page spread in Practical Poultry a few months back saying how good they were! Shocking.

Jools
They have a (very quiet) forum on their website ........ http://www.goodlifepoultry.co.uk/phpBB2/index.php Having worked in customer service for blooming ages, I always think bad service deserves a bit of bad press If my memory serves me correctly (in my dreams ), bad news spreads eleven times faster than good. rachel19
Probably, I did work for a Solicitors on and off in my gap year so I'm sure they'd help me. I'll probably go and see them this week. Trouble is after Sunday I'm not going to be back in the country until September so there's not a lot I can do at the moment. I would have sorted out something earlier but I've been bust with exams etc etc etc. They also never sent me a receipted invoive, they just phoned to say thanks for the money and that was the last I heard from them..........apart from the odd e-mail saying they were going to send me the refund which they obviously never did. buffie
If you mention trading standards that usually causes a flurry of activity, it's dreadful as they are so well known. BBx

Thanks for that Jools - I'll give them a bit longer as the second batch are only just due, then they'll get both barrels I should have known better - I had a discussion with htem about becoming an agent and realised during the conversation that I didn't want to work for them As for bad news spreading - my next port of call will be the Practical Poultry forum to ask the same question! rachel19
Well I have now sent them a message through their website demanding a refund or I'll be contacting my solicitor!!!! I tried phoning them but got no answer. They really are awful
The Dogmother
I think that I am right in saying that if you have paid them some money for a service or goods, then by failing to deliver those goods at the arranged date/time, that they are not fulfilling their contract with you. Best check that, but they should at least give you all your money back - I'd be after interest on it too
Jools
Well done Rachel. No-one should put up with poor customer service, it's just so un-necessary. Good customer service is re-paid many times over and I'm sure everyone at Omlet and all Eglu owners can vouch for that!
Aunty e
I had problems with them, although I had no bother picking up my chooks and they were very accomodating about it, Dolly was considerably younger than advertised, and Purdy arrived with Myco and literally COATED in filth. Coated. It was disgusting. And the barns where they rear them are horrible dark filthy places. Not lovely fluffy fields. But I had no trouble with the delivery/pick-up per se. The Dogmother
I think that's reason enough not to use them again Auntye
rachel19
The more i hear about them the more i dislike them! Well if they keep on like they are they'll go out of business because no one will use them. I certainly wouldn't recommebd them to anyone!
