Henhathnofury
My cat and chicken girls always got along well - he would even stand in amongst them when I was feeding treats or sit in the warm soil and watch them. Between them all, they scared off lots of other cats from the garden. On August 27th, our cat disappeared from the garden. The girls have been craning their necks to see him ever since and they seem stressed, all have colds. He was an old neutered tom - black and white with bib, white splodge at the top of his nose. Uncollared and lost in the Caversham area of Reading. If anyone sees him - please let me know. Also, I would love to hear if there is much inter-species love going on out there? Gamebird
Oh so sorry to hear about your missing cat. Have you put notices up asking people to look in their sheds, garages etc?

piptiddlepip
My ginger boy, Malachy, adores my chickens, he spends hours watching them. They all tolerate him except Aggie, who often chases him away. Sorry to hear about your boy. I hope he returns home soon.
Henhathnofury
I have done posters, leaflets, approaching strangers, local papers, local shops, hours of walking, vets, environmental health, rescue centres, even local radio. There is simply no sign. My chickens are not the same without their guardian - they are all jittery. I am too. It's just so very sad. Henhathnofury
You see, I am not myself...forgot my signature and have only just worked out how to add a white chicken. DOH!
Groovychook
So sorry to hear about your cat... fingers crossed that he returns home safely soon... xx
Seagazer
Oh no - what a worry. What is his name? I hope he turns up. My rabbit AJ used to love (and I mean love) my cat Dave. The vet soon sorted that out. Cookie and Dave mostly love each other and often lay down together having a mutual licking, biting session. mostin
I really hope he turns up for you, they can survive for a long time if they get shut in somewhere. Ours came back after 3 weeks! My Tilley is fascinated by the chickens, she loves to come out to see them with me, and will come in to the pen to see them with me. My other cat Oscar just ignores them and pretends they don't exist. Keep on hoping, let us all know if he returns

dancing cloud
Hope your little boy-cat comes home safely and soon My fat Puddy doesn't like the hens (too much competition), but Loki has always loved them and will happily sit with them for hours.
