Recommended Posts

I looooooove sushi & was really excited to see a Yo! Sushi has opened in Reading recently.

My girls are off today & we are leaving in a minute to go & have a fun lunch there- anyone else ever been?

We had a quick look last week, & its just so cool with all the bright colours & the sushi conveyor belt 8)

I adore sushi too. Yo Sushi in Paddingtn station... Such fun!

Although we are really lucky here, as Honda, based in swindon, has an excellent hotel adn restaurant fro their Japanese visitors, called Stanton House. The Sushi is utterly fantastic, and they do Sunday lunch buffets, all you can eat for £18. Its amazing.

Perhaps we could organise an Omlet excursion? 8)

My idea of heaven is pigging out in Yo Sushi

make sure you register online with them, and then they send you offers like this

http://www.yosushi.com/september_special_offer.php

Chicken Katsu curry and crispy soft shell crab together with any sashimi are my favourites.:drool:

Our local Yo Sushi outside St Paul's is amazing.

All this talk of food has now made me feel very hungry.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend 8)

Regards

Dodge

I love sushi too! I've been to the sushi restaurants at Bluewater and Liverpool Street a few times as a treat, but usually have to make do with M&S for my fix!

I go to Prets at Bluewater and buy one of their sushi packs. One day I will convince them or I will have to be a sad sack and go by myself

I worked for a Japanese stockbrokers (which Dodge was to the side of St. Pauls, are we talking of the Cathedral?) when I first started work and used to have a box every day from the sushi delivery man (think it was something like benato box or something, too many years have passed) :D

We went to Yo Sushi in Selfridges in Brum

It was a birthday treat for Jules. She was really insistent we went. :?

We all chose our dishes from the conveyor belt but the one Jules wanted had to be made up especially.

So we all started eating and Jules took one tiny nibble and announced she didn't like it

We later found out why she was so insistent to go, she is a HUGE fan of HSM especially Troy and she was reading a book about him that he listed his favourite food as sushi

Girls :roll::wink:

PS Harry, Dan and I loved it. I had squid and it was superb

OH, lucky thing, returned last week from a conference in Japan. He had the most fantastic time, the hospitality was amazing & he had all sorts af wonderful food - and delighted his hosts by trying and enjoying everything on offer.

We're now going to take the DSs to a Japanese restaurant so they can try it - we both love sushi and sashimi, I can't wait to see their reaction to it!

Just back & we had a fabulous time :P

It was just such fun & so entertaining sitting there with all the dishes going round on the belt, trying to work out what was what.

And I loved the fizzy & still water taps on the tables too!

We discovered some wonderful prawns in crumb with a sweet sauce - had quite a few plates of those :lol:

All in all a very successful lunch with my girlies :P8)

I love sushi too, but I've never been to a sushi restaurant, I've only ever eaten the stuff out of take away packets like M & S and Waitrose, though. I spoke to someone recently who had visited Japan a lot on business, and he said the sushi there tastes the same as the stuff out of the supermarkets here....? Not sure I can believe that...
