Cinnamon
I can't take credit for it I am afraid. I tore it out of a magazine some time ago.......my family always ask me to make it for their hampers now
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
I'm going to give it a go. I love sweet spicy Christmassy smells. What else goes in your hampers? In fact, I'll start another post - I'm sure there are lots of hampery folks out there. I'm doing marmalade, pickled eggs, jam and chutney this year with something nutty to use all my wild walnuts and hazlenuts. Anna x

BeckyBoo
You're right, it does look pretty in the bottle! I know it says to strain at the end and obviously I don't know what it will look like by then, but have you ever tried leaving some fruit in or some fresh pared orange rind? That would look lovely I reckon. (My rellies are going to be well and truly pickled by their crhistmas pressies this year!) Mrs B

Christian
Well, the cranberry vodka has been 'brewing' for a week and is a wonderful vibrant red. I messed up and have only just realised. I used all spice berries instead of juniper! That's what happens when you don't put your lenses in first thing Smells lovely though!
Guest
lovely but how come it only lasts 3 months? I thought alcohol didn't have a shelf life
Cinnamon
I have a very small amount left ovr from last Chrisatmas, & purely in the interests of the forum I tried it tonight,& I can tell you its fine Maybe it has a 3 month life if you don't strain the fruits out? Couperwife
right, *grabs bag and heads off for more vodka and other ingredients* I now have about 4 different vodka mixes for christmas Yay party at the couperhouse cathy x
Guest
I'd like to try this with gin rather than vodka. Where do you get the cranberries though? I have Craisens from when they were reduced in Watirose but they are all sweetened. I just looked on tesco.com and they have dried cranberries reduced BUT they have added pineapple juice! Cinnamon
I used Craisens Pengy, didn't occur to me that they were sewwtened, & I got a free bag with my Ocado shop I think I got some from Tesco last time. Not sure about the Gin element either,as the mix you add to the Vodka smells very 'Ginny' with the crushed Juniper berries It might make it all a bit too junipery?
